External electrical connectors and methods of forming such external electrical connectors are discussed. A method includes forming an external electrical connector structure on a substrate. The forming the external electrical connector structure includes plating a pillar on the substrate at a first agitation level affected at the substrate in a first solution. The method further includes plating solder on the external electrical connector structure at a second agitation level affected at the substrate in a second solution. The second agitation level affected at the substrate is greater than the first agitation level affected at the substrate. The plating the solder further forms a shell on a sidewall of the external electrical connector structure.

Conductive external connector structure and method of forming

A display device which is not harmful to the human eye in respect of blue light includes a display panel, a backlight module, and a light adjusting component. The backlight module includes white light emitting diodes (LEDs) for emitting light. Each white LED includes a blue light chip and a yellow fluorescent material encapsulated on the blue light chip. Thereby, transmittance of the light adjusting component for blue light having a wavelength less than 450 nm is less than 10% and transmittance of light adjusting component for blue light having a wavelength over 470 nm is not less than 90%. The light adjusting component reduces the emission from the display device of yellow light having a wavelength of about 575 nm to 595 nm.

A two-way distribution, charging, and vending system permits a subscriber to exchange one or more partially or completely discharged portable electric energy storage devices for a comparable number of charged portable electric energy storage devices. The two-way distribution, charging, and vending system includes a number of charging modules, each with a dedicated power converter, communicably coupled to at least one two-way distribution system controller and to a power distribution grid. Upon receipt of a discharged portable electric energy storage device, the at least one two-way distribution system controller validates a manufacturer identifier and a subscriber identifier stored in a nontransitory storage media carried by the discharged portable electric energy storage device. Responsive to a successful authentication and validation, the at least one two-way distribution system controller dispenses a charged portable electric energy storage device to the subscriber.

Apparatus, system, and method for vending, charging, and two-way distribution of electrical energy storage devices

A display panel includes a lighting device, a color conversion layer, and a reflective sheet. The lighting device at least includes a first lighting part emitting a first light of a first color having a wavelength within the first wavelength range and a second lighting part emitting a second light of the first color having a wavelength within a second wavelength range. The color conversion layer includes a number of bases corresponding to the first lighting part and the second lighting part. The reflective sheet reflects a light having a wavelength within a first wavelength range and lets a light having a wavelength out of the first wavelength range to pass through. The bases corresponding to the first lighting part are doped with a number of quantum dot particles to convert the first light to a third light of a second color.

A keystroke determination method and a device thereof are applicable to a keyboard input device. The keystroke determination device performs the keystroke determination method including the following steps. A triggering signal corresponding to both a first circuit node and a second circuit node of the keyboard input device is received. Whether a first key definition of the first circuit node represents a null key is determined. When the first key definition of the first circuit node represents the null key, a signal specifying a second key definition of the second circuit node is outputted.

An apparatus for generating a pulse train with an adjustable time interval is provided. The apparatus, being an annular optical cavity structure, includes a seed source receiving end, a pump source receiving end, an optical coupler, an optical combiner, a gain fiber, an optical path time regulator and a beam splitter. An apparatus for generating a short-pulse laser using a temporally modulated sideband gain is provided. The apparatus includes a laser diode and an external reflector. By use of a time difference resulted by a nanosecond laser pulse signal at the external reflector, a sideband gain is obtained for generating a short-pulse picosecond laser output.

A method of operating an all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system is provided. The steps includes providing an all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system having a pulse pump light source, a fiber saturable absorber, an assistant light source, at least a dispersion fiber, and a light coupling output; generating a broadband ASE via the pulse pump light source; making the all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system switch passive mode locking via the fiber saturable absorber; decreasing the restoring period of the fiber saturable absorber via the assistant light source; providing dispersion compensation via the dispersion fiber to output an ultra short pulse; and partially outputting a laser passing through the all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system via the light coupling output.

Method of operating all-fiber-based ultra pulse laser system

A UV light generator for receiving a baseband light beam from a baseband light source is provided. The UV light generator includes a first lens unit, a second lens unit, a first frequency doubling crystal and a second frequency doubling crystal. The baseband light beam from the baseband light source passes through the first lens unit. The first lens unit and the second lens unit control a minimum of baseband light spot position and a minimum of second harmonic light spot position. The first frequency doubling crystal is disposed between the first lens unit and the second lens unit, and located on the minimum of baseband light spot position. The second frequency doubling crystal is disposed between the first lens unit and the second lens unit, and located on the minimum of second harmonic light spot position.

UV light generator

A linear-cavity all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system is provided. The all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system includes a pulse pump light source, a gain fiber, a first fiber signal pump combining unit, a broadband optical isolator, a fiber saturable absorber, an assistant light source, a second fiber signal pump combining unit, and a light coupling output. A broadband amplified spontaneous emission, emitted by the first fiber signal pump combining unit, which is connected to the pulse pump light source and the gain fiber, passes through the broadband optical isolator. The second fiber signal pump combining unit is connected to the assistant light source and the fiber saturable absorber. An ASE signal actively provides passive mode locking of the cavity, and the light coupling output partially outputs the laser. A dispersion fiber controls the temporal width.

Linear cavity of all-fiber-based ultra short pulse laser system

An optical fiber with filtering thin film includes a first ferrule having a first through hole and a first contact surface. A first fiber is disposed into the first through hole, extending to the first contact surface. A first interface coupling material is between the first ferrule and the first fiber. A second ferrule has a second through hole and a second contact surface. A second fiber is disposed into the second through hole, extending to the second contact surface. A second interface coupling material is between the second ferrule and the second fiber. The first contact surface and the second contact surface are parallel and have an included tilt angle from a perpendicular transverse plane of first fiber. An optical filtering film is disposed between the first contact surface and the second contact surface. The first fiber and the second fiber are aligned.
