Systems and methods are described herein for controlling a switch. In some embodiments, circuitry may detect a voltage across the switch. A current reference signal may be generated based on the voltage across the switch. The switch may be controlled based, at least in part, on the current reference signal.

Systems for controlling a slew rate of a switch

The present invention provides a voltage regulator including a voltage control circuit and a current control circuit. The voltage control circuit is configured to receive an output voltage of the voltage regulator to generate a first current to an output terminal of the voltage regulator; and the current control circuit is configured to generate a second current to the output terminal of the voltage regulator according to an output current of the voltage regulator, wherein the output current is generated according to the first current and the second current.

Voltage regulator with hybrid control for fast transient response

A switching regulator clamping the power or ground of the power switch driver is introduced. In a buck regulator, the first power switch is coupled between the input terminal of the buck regulator and the first terminal of an inductor. The second terminal of the inductor is coupled to the output terminal of the buck regulator. The second power switch is coupled between the first terminal of the inductor and an internal ground of the buck regulator. There is a driver power clamp configured to clamp the power terminal of the driver of the second power switch when the first power switch is turned off. In a boost regulator, a driver power clamp is configured to clamp the ground terminal of the driver of the power switch that couples the input inductor to an output terminal of the boost regulator when another power switch is turned off.

A switching regulator clamping the power or ground of the power switch driver is introduced. In a buck regulator, the power switch is coupled between the input terminal of the buck regulator and the first terminal of an inductor. The second terminal of the inductor is coupled to the output terminal of the buck regulator. There is a driver power clamp configured to clamp the ground terminal of the driver of the power switch. In a boost regulator, an inductor is provided which has a first terminal coupled to an input terminal of the boost regulator and has a second terminal coupled to the negative supply terminal of the power supply through a power switch. The boost regulator has a driver power clamp that is configured to clamp the power terminal of the driver of the power switch.

A DC-DC converter includes an inductor, a switch module, and a pull-up circuit or a pull-down circuit. The inductor has a first node and a second node, and the second node is coupled to an output node of the DC-DC converter. The switch module is arranged for selectively connecting an input voltage or a ground voltage to the first node of the inductor according to a driving signal. The pull-up circuit is arranged for selectively providing a first current to the output node of the DC-DC converter. The pull-down circuit is arranged for selectively sinking a second current from the output node of the DC-DC converter. In addition, the first current or the second current is determined based on an inductor current flowing through the inductor.

A DC-DC converter includes an inductor, a switch module, a pull-up circuit and a pull-down circuit. The inductor has a first node and a second node, and the second node is coupled to an output node of the DC-DC converter. The switch module is arranged for selectively connecting an input voltage or a ground voltage to the first node of the inductor according to a driving signal. The pull-up circuit is arranged for selectively providing a first current to the output node of the DC-DC converter. The pull-down circuit is arranged for selectively sinking a second current from the output node of the DC-DC converter. In addition, at least one of the first current provided by the pull-up circuit and the second current sunk by the pull-down circuit is determined based on an inductor current flowing through the inductor.

The present invention discloses a current generating apparatus for generating an output current. The current generating apparatus includes: a first current mirror; a first bias current generator for providing a first bias current, and the first bias current generator includes: a first current source for providing the first current; and a capacitive device for conducting a reference current; a second current mirror for generating a second mirror current; a second bias current generator for generating a second current; a third current source for providing a third current, wherein the second mirror current is equal to the third current; a feedback circuit; and a fourth current source for providing a fourth current, wherein the output current is outputted at an output node of the first current mirror.
