A cantilever for gas flow direction control configured to support an electrode housing bowl in an associated etch process chamber. The cantilever may have a cross-section that is circular, elliptical, or airfoil shaped. The shape of the cantilever induces the flow of gas and etch products within the chamber around the cantilever, reducing turbulence around the edge of a wafer.

A method of plasma etching a semiconductor wafer includes: securing the semiconductor wafer to a mounting platform within a process chamber such that an outer edge of the semiconductor wafer is encircled by a sloped annular ring having a plurality of perforation therein, the sloped annular ring having an inner edge at a first end of the sloped annular ring and an outer edge at a second end of the sloped annular ring. Suitably, the first end is opposite the second end and the first end resides in a first plane and the second end resides in a second plane different from the first plane. The method further includes generating a plasma within the process chamber such that the semiconductor wafer is exposed to the plasma and creating a flow of at least one of plasma and gas through the perforations in the sloped annular ring.

A light guide plate includes a light incident section and a light guiding section. The light incident section includes a light incident surface configured to receive light beams emitted from a light source, a top surface adjacent to the light incident surface, a first bottom surface oppose to the top surface. The light guiding section includes a main light emitting surface, a connecting surface connecting the main light emitting surface with the top surface, a second bottom surface opposite to the main light emitting surface and connecting with the first bottom surface, and a contacting surface connecting with the main light emitting surface and the second bottom surface. A step is formed at a junction of the light incident section and the light guiding section, and the connecting surface and the top surface define an accommodating space.

A sampling apparatus contains: a tubular member, a pressing mechanism, a forcing member, and a movable sampling member. The tubular member includes an inner thread section, an orifice, a stepped shoulder, a first fixing hole, and a second fixing hole. The pressing mechanism includes a press member, a driving member, a resilient element, and an elastic hook. The driving member includes an inserting segment, an aperture, a retaining slot, and a receiving groove, and two ends of the resilient element abut against the driving member and the forcing member. The cylindrical member includes an outer thread section and two opposite positioning recesses. The forcing member includes a needle and two opposite locating stems. The movable sampling member includes a hollowly lower side, a hollow affixing mount, a hollow tool, and a blade.

A light source module includes a circuit board, a light source electrically coupled to the circuit board including a first light emerging face, a light guide plate close to the light source and including an light incident face, a reflective piece located on one side of the light guide plate, a diffusion plate located on another side of the light guide plate, a frame used to fix the circuit board, the light guide plate, the reflective piece and the diffusion plate. The light incident face and the light emerging face cooperatively forming an angle. Light from the light source is guided by the light guide plate and reflected by the reflective piece and diffused by the diffusion plate.

Light source module

A power supplying circuit adapted for receiving an output from a power adapter and supplying power to a battery unit and a system load is provided. The power supplying circuit includes a charger unit, a switching unit, and a voltage regulating unit. The charger unit receives a first supplying voltage from the power adapter through a power terminal and charges the battery unit. The switching unit is coupled to the power terminal and the charger unit. The switch unit is configured for receiving the first supplying voltage and a second supplying voltage from the charger unit. The voltage regulating unit is coupled to the switching unit and configured for powering the system load. The switching unit supplies the first supplying voltage to the voltage regulating unit under heavy load condition. The switching unit supplies the second supplying voltage to the voltage regulating unit under light load condition.

A power saving circuit for an electronic device is disclosed. The power saving circuit includes a direct-current (DC) power supply, a sensing unit, and a control unit. The DC power supply is used for providing a DC current. The sensing unit, coupled to the DC power supply, is used for detecting the DC current and operating to generate a voltage signal according to the DC current. The control unit, coupled to the sensing unit, is used for determining whether a system circuit of the electronic device has a light load or a heavy load and generating an enable signal.

Power saving method and power saving circuit thereof

A charging device including a charging circuit, a voltage detection circuit, and a keyboard controller is provided. The charging circuit receives a charging power source, and produces a battery-charging power source at a first node by the charging power source to charge a battery. The voltage detection circuit detects a voltage at the first node, and produces a voltage detection result. The keyboard controller determines whether the voltage at the first node is less than a predetermined voltage according to the voltage detection result, and determines whether a predetermined condition has been satisfied, wherein the predetermined condition includes the voltage at the first node being less than the predetermined voltage, and the keyboard controller is arranged to force the charging circuit to stop producing the battery-charging power source at the first node when the predetermined condition has been satisfied.

A power signal detecting system and method thereof are disclosed. The power signal detecting system comprises a power supply and a portable electronic device. The portable electronic device is electrically connected with the power supply to receive a power signal. The portable electronic device comprises a sensing element, a detecting module and a power management module. The sensing element is used to connect the power signal. The detecting module is electrically connected to the sensing element and is used for detecting the power signal. The power management module electrically connects to the detecting module and is used for executing a power management for the portable electronic device by identifying the power signal.

A portable computer system includes a host, a power storage device and a dock. The power storage device is installed in the host, for sensing current from a first power socket to a first power terminal to generate a first sensing result, and charging a first rechargeable battery according to a first control signal. The dock is capable of connecting to the host by means of insertion, for sensing current from a second power socket to a second power terminal to generate a second sensing result, and charging a second rechargeable battery according to a second control signal. The dock includes a control device for outputting the first control signal and the second control signal according to the first sensing result and the second sensing result, to control charging operations on the first rechargeable battery and the second rechargeable battery.

An artificial knee joint includes an upper seat, a lower seat adapted to be connected fixedly to a prosthetic lower leg, and a driving device. The upper seat includes a seat body connected to the lower seat by the driving device, and a movable member connected pivotally to the seat body and adapted to be connected fixedly to a residual thigh. The driving device includes a rotating shaft journalled within the seat body. When a downward force and an upward force are applied respectively to the movable member and the seat body, a gripping member presses against the rotating shaft so as to prevent rotation of the rotating shaft and thus relative movement of the lower seat and the seat body of the upper seat.

Artificial knee joint

An artificial knee joint connects a prosthetic lower leg to a residual thigh of a prosthesis wearer, and includes a knee-extending oil passage and a knee-flexing oil passage that is provided with a throttle valve. When the lower leg is pressed against the ground by the thigh, a controlling element activates the throttle valve to close the knee flexing oil passage so as to fix the thigh relative to the lower leg. Upon fast walking of the wearer, an air valve unit activates the throttle valve to reduce flow rate of oil flowing through the knee-flexing oil passage so that the lower leg can support the thigh effectively.
