A card connector assembly () includes an insulating housing (), a number of contacts (), a daughter board (), a rear socket () and a spacer (). The insulating housing () defines a card receiving space. Each contact () comprises a contacting portion and a soldering portion. The daughter board () comprises a plurality of conductive portions. The rear socket () is adapted to be mounted to a mother board and to electrically connect with the daughter board () to establish an electrical connection between the contacts () and the mother board. The spacer () is formed with a holding portion () on lateral side faces thereof with one end assembled to the insulating housing () and the other end mating with the daughter board () to securely hold the soldering portions of the contacts.

Card connector assembly

A card connector includes an insulating housing () and a number of contacts () received in the insulating housing (). The insulating housing () comprises a base () and a pair of guiding arms () extending from opposite lateral sides of the base () along a card ejecting direction and defining a card receiving space with soldering portions extending forwardly and backwardly respectively. The insulating housing () is formed with a pair of mating portions () in which the contacts () are received, The mating portions extend from the base () along the card ejecting direction to expose into the card receiving space at a position of upper and lower sides.

Each first terminal () has a first engaging portion () for electrically connecting with a card, and a first securing portion () extending backwardly from the first engaging portion () and out of the first insulating body (), and each second terminal () has a second engaging portion () for electrically connecting with a different card and a second securing portion () extending backwardly from the second engaging portion () and out of the second insulating body (). The second securing portions () have some under the first securing portions ().

A card connector comprises a header comprising an insulating main body; a shield member coupled on the header to define a card receiving space; a plurality of first contacts and second contacts disposed in the insulating main body; a stopper approximately arranged in a row with the first contacts along a transverse direction and protruding into the card receiving space approximately from a corner of the main body, and spaced with the shield coupled on an upper face of the main body to define a daughter space therebetween with the second contacts exposed in to receive the second card.
