Embodiments of the invention disclose a signal processing device and a signal processing method and a device and a method for signal processing. The signal processing device includes a sampling module, a first segmentation module, a second segmentation module, and a detection module. The sampling module samples an input signal to generate a sample signal. The first segmentation module calculates a first segment value according to the sample signal during a first time interval. The second segmentation module calculates a second segment value according to the sample signal during a second time interval different in length from the first time interval. The detection module generates a detection signal according to the determination of whether the first segment value lies out of a first range, and whether the second segment value lies out of a second range.

The present invention provides a memory control method and related device. The method includes storing a bit stream into a memory, reading from the memory a header corresponding to the bit stream, and within a part of a region storing the bit stream, rearranging data stored in the memory according to the header. The rearranging step moves or copies the data in the memory to a part in the region storing the bit stream that has already been read.

An audio processing method utilized to generate an audio stream. An audio frame includes N frequency subbands. An Ith frequency subband among the N frequency subbands includes M audio samples and has an Ith psychoacoustic masking value. First, an Ith offset of the Ith frequency subband is calculated. Then, the Ith psychoacoustic masking value and the Ith offset are inputted into a projection formula to generate an Ith projection value. According to the Ith projection value and a limit range, an Ith scale factor is determined. Subsequently, the M audio samples in the Ith frequency subband are adjusted according to the Ith scale factor.

A system for performing signal synchronization of data streams having frames associated with source time reference. A system clock generates a local time reference. A decoder processes the data stream. A system controller determines a difference between the source time reference and the local time reference, compares the difference against a first threshold, selects a target frame from the data stream according to content thereof, and directs the decoder to process the target frame or a frame adjacent thereto.
