An exemplary liquid crystal display device () includes a plurality of pixel electrode (), a common electrode (), a data driving circuit () configured for providing data voltages to each pixel electrode, and a common voltage generating circuit () configured for providing a common voltage to the common electrode. The common voltage generating circuit includes a hysteresis comparator circuit () and a direct current voltage adjusting circuit (). The hysteresis comparator circuit is configured for providing an alternating current voltage, and the direct current voltage adjusting circuit is configured for providing a direct current voltage with periodic change. The direct current voltage is configured for superimposing on the alternating current voltage to form a common voltage, and an absolute value of the common voltage changes only slightly within a predetermined range from each frame to the next adjacent frame. A method for driving the liquid crystal display device is also provided.

Liquid crystal display device with periodical changed voltage difference between data voltage and common voltage and driving method thereof

An exemplary liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixel units each including a pixel electrode for receiving data voltages and a common electrode for receiving a common voltage having a constant value. The data voltages applied to each pixel electrodes are equal to a sum of a main data voltage having a square waveform and an auxiliary voltage that is periodically changed at intervals each formed by four continuous frames. An absolute value of the auxiliary voltage is less than a voltage difference between the main data voltage and the common voltage, a sum of the auxiliary voltage is zero in a minimum period.

Liquid crystal display with periodical changed voltage difference between data voltage and common voltage

A liquid crystal display () includes a liquid crystal panel () including a number of thin film transistors (), a timing control circuit (), a common voltage generating circuit () and a gamma circuit (). The timing control circuit is configured for generating timing signals. The common voltage generating circuit is configured for generating a common voltage. The gamma circuit is configured for generating gray-scale voltages. When the liquid crystal panel is powered on, the common voltage is applied to the liquid crystal panel and reaches a predetermined value before the gray-scale voltages are applied to the liquid crystal panel and comes to predetermined values. And when liquid crystal panel is powered off the common voltage and the gray-scale voltages drops to 0V simultaneously by control of the common voltage generating circuit and the gamma circuit with the thin film transistors switched on.

Liquid crystal display and driving method thereof

An exemplary liquid crystal display () includes a plurality of pixel units () each including a pixel electrode () and a common electrode (), a data driving circuit () providing a plurality of data voltages to each pixel electrode, a common voltage generating circuit () providing a common voltage to each common electrode, and a gamma voltage generating circuit () providing gamma voltages to the data driving circuit. The plurality of pixel units are arranged in a matrix. The voltage difference between the data voltage and the common voltage in each pixel unit is a sum of a main voltage and an auxiliary voltage with periodical change. An absolute value of the main voltage is constant. An absolute value of the auxiliary voltage is less than the absolute value of the main voltage. A sum of the auxiliary voltage is zero in a minimum period.

An exemplary light emitting diode () includes a base (), a semiconductor chip (), a cover (), and two optical layers (). The semiconductor chip is formed on the base. The cover is formed on the base and covers the semiconductor chip. The optical layers cover part of a peripheral side of the cover respectively.

An exemplary driving circuit of a liquid crystal display includes a delay circuit (), a first transistor (), a second transistor (), a first bias resistor (R), and a second bias resistor (R). The first transistor includes a source electrode for receiving a first voltage signal, and a drain electrode for providing the first voltage signal to a first external circuit. The second transistor includes an emitter electrode for receiving a second voltage signal, and a collector electrode for providing the second voltage signal to a second external circuit. The delay circuit includes a first control pin () connected to the gate electrode of the first transistor, and a second control pin () connected to the base electrode of the second transistor. The delay circuit is configured for delaying the first voltage signal for a first predetermined time period and the second voltage signal for a second predetermined time period.

Driving circuit of liquid crystal display

A common voltage adjusting circuit () includes a delta adder (), a sigma adder (), a sigma latch (), and a quantization circuit (). The delta adder includes a first input terminal configured for receiving a binary signal, a second input terminal, and an output terminal. The sigma adder includes a first input terminal connected to the output terminal of the delta adder, a second input terminal, and an output terminal. The sigma latch includes a first input terminal connected to the output terminal of the sigma adder, and an output terminal connected to the second input terminal of the delta adder and the second input terminal of the sigma adder. The quantization circuit includes a first input terminal connected to the output of the sigma latch, and an output terminal connected to a common electrode of a TFT-LCD.
