The present invention relates to a stair exercise device for simulating stair climbing, the device having a plurality of steps which are activated by the weight of a person walking up them. A stationary platform at the base of the stair exercise device sends a signal to a controller to bring the exercise device to a controlled stop when an operator steps onto the platform. The steps of the exercise device stop in a predetermined location when the exercise device comes to a controlled stop, ensuring proper step location to allow the operator to easily enter and exit the exercise device. Steps have a step platform of a different color than the risers between steps to aid in foot placement.

A system for displaying images, having a display panel, comprising: a lower substrate with a first surface, wherein the first surface is divided into a pixel area and a driver area; a peripheral circuit within the driver area on the first surface; at least one thin film transistor is formed in the pixel area, wherein the thin film transistor comprises an active layer, a gate dielectric layer overlying the active layer, and a gate electrode overlying the gate dielectric layer, and the active layer has source and drain regions; a first transparent electrode layer directly overlapped on a portion of the drain region, electrically connected thereto; and a second transparent electrode pattern is disposed on the gate dielectric layer, opposing the first transparent electrode layer.

Liquid crystal display device with fringe field switching mode

A display panel is used with an image display system. The display panel includes a light-transmissive substrate, a gate insulating layer, a gate conductor, a first light-shielding structure, a channel layer and a second light-shielding structure. The gate insulating layer is formed over the light-transmissive substrate. The gate conductor and the first light-shielding structure are made of the same material, formed over the gate insulating layer, and electrically isolated from each other. The first light-shielding structure has a hollow portion. The channel layer and the second light-shielding structure made of the same material and formed over the light-transmissive substrate but under the gate insulating layer. The second light-shielding structure is disposed under the hollow portion of the first light-shielding structure.
