A portable electronic device includes a housing, a substrate, a radiation conductor and a short circuit conductor. The housing defines an accommodating space and includes a frame that has a body portion and a radiation portion. The substrate is disposed in the accommodating space, is surrounded by the frame, and has a grounding portion. The radiation conductor is disposed in the accommodating space, is electrically coupled to the radiation portion, and includes a feed-in point. The short circuit conductor is electrically coupled between one end of the radiation portion and the grounding portion.

Portable electronic device

A multi-band dipole antenna includes spaced part first and second radiator sections, first and second mirroring radiator sections, and a balun, which are disposed on a substrate. The first mirroring radiator section is symmetrically disposed with respect to the first radiator section and is spaced apart from the first radiator section. The first radiator section and the first mirroring radiator section cooperate to resonate in a first frequency band. The second radiator section cooperates with the second mirroring radiator section to resonate in a second frequency band.

Multi-band dipole antenna

A dual-band antenna includes first and second connecting sections coupled to a ground unit, and first, second, and third radiator sections. The first connecting section extends in a direction from the ground unit toward an inner wall face of a housing of an electronic device. The first radiator section is connected to the first connecting section and is disposed to extend along the inner wall face. A feed-in section extends between the second connecting section and the inner wall face, and has a portion extending parallel to the first radiator section. The second radiator section is connected to the feed-in section and is disposed to extend along the inner wall face. The third radiator section is connected to the second radiator section, extends between the second radiator section and the feed-in section, and has a portion extending parallel to the second radiator section.

Dual-band antenna and antenna device having the same

A communications device capable of coupling current reduction includes a first casing, a second casing, and an antenna. The first casing includes a first metal layer part. The second casing includes a second metal layer part. The antenna is adjacent to the first and second metal layer parts when the second casing is at a covering position. The first metal layer part has a surface that confronts the second metal layer part when the second casing is at the covering position and that is formed with a plurality of first recesses. The second metal layer part has a surface that confronts the first metal layer part when the second casing is at the covering position and that is formed with a plurality of second recesses.

Communications device capable of coupling current reduction

An electronic device includes a radio frequency module having a communication port, and an antenna module having a number of antennas electrically coupled to the communication port. A method of reducing specific absorption rate (SAR) for the electronic device includes: a) measuring the SAR for the electronic device to obtain a measurement result; b) increasing the number of antennas of the antenna module when the measurement result is not lower than a standard value; and c) repeating steps a) and b) until the measurement result is equal to or smaller than the standard value.

An antenna includes a grounding element, a connecting element, and first and second radiator elements. The connecting element includes an elongated first connecting section, and a second connecting section connecting the first connecting section to the grounding element. The first radiator element includes a first radiator section extending substantially perpendicular from one side of the first connecting section, and second and third radiator sections extending substantially perpendicular from one side of the first radiator section. The second radiator element includes a first radiator portion extending substantially perpendicular from the one side of the first connecting section, and second and third radiator portions extending substantially perpendicular from one side of the first radiator portion and extending in an opposite direction relative to the second and third radiator sections.

Multi-band antenna

An antenna device includes a substrate, and a dual-band antenna disposed on a surface of the substrate. The dual-band antenna includes a feed-in section, a first radiator arm, a second radiator arm, a third radiator arm, and a ground section. The feed-in section is for signal feed-in, and has opposite first and second ends. The first radiator arm extends from the first end of the feed-in section and is parallel to the feed-in section. The second radiator arm is connected to the second end of the feed-in section and extends parallel to the feed-in section. The third radiator arm is disposed adjacent to and extends parallel to the first radiator arm in a manner that the feed-in section is disposed between the third radiator arm and the second radiator arm. The ground section is connected to the third radiator arm.

Antenna device and dual-band antenna

A twin-Vee-type dual band antenna includes interconnected first and second conductor arms and interconnected first and second mirroring conductor arms disposed on a substrate. The second conductor arm has a radiator section extending parallel to the first conductor arm. The first mirroring conductor arm is symmetrical to the first conductor arm, and forms an angle (&#x3b8;) of less than 180 degrees with the first conductor arm. The second mirroring conductor arm is symmetrical to the second conductor arm, and has a radiator section extending parallel to the first mirroring conductor arm.

Twin-Vee-type dual band antenna

A multi-band antenna is adapted for disposing on a substrate with a ground plane and a matching circuit disposed thereon, and includes a feed-in section, a coupling section, a grounding section, a multiple-bend arm, and a conductor section. The feed-in section is connected electrically to the matching circuit. The coupling section is connected electrically to the feed-in section and is disposed spacedly from the ground plane. The grounding section is connected electrically to the ground plane. The multiple-bend arm is connected electrically to the coupling section and the grounding section and cooperates with the grounding section to form a signal path for signals in a first frequency band. The conductor section is connected electrically to the multiple-bend arm and cooperates with a portion of the multiple-bend arm to form a signal path for signals in a second frequency band.

An antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a grounding plane, first and second grounding elements, and first and second radiating elements. The grounding plane is formed on the dielectric substrate. The first and second grounding elements are formed on the dielectric substrate, have a curved shape and a size that are identical, and are connected to the grounding plane. The first and second radiating elements are formed on the dielectric substrate, have a curved shape and a size that are identical, are operable in the same frequency range, and are connected to the first and second grounding elements, respectively.

Planar antenna

An antenna includes a base element, grounding and feeding points, and first and second radiating elements. Each of the grounding and feeding points is provided on the base element. The first radiating element is operable in a first frequency band, and extends from the base element. The second radiating element is operable in a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band, extends from the base element, and is formed with a slot.

Antenna having wide impedance bandwidths both at low and high frequencies

An antenna, which is operable in a digital video broadcasting for handhelds (DVB-H) frequency range, includes first and second monopole radiating elements and a feeding element. The first and second monopole radiating elements are symmetrical about an axis of symmetry and have a meandering shape. The feeding element interconnects the first and second monopole radiating elements.

An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate, first and second antennas, and a parasitic coupler. The first antenna is formed on the dielectric substrate, and includes first and second radiating elements that extend in opposite directions. The parasitic coupler is formed on the dielectric substrate and is electromagnetically coupled to the first radiating element. The second antenna is formed on the dielectric substrate and is disposed proximate to the second radiating element.

Wide bandwidth antenna device

An antenna unit includes left and right antennas that are spaced apart from each other and that are operable within a first frequency bandwidth, and a parasitic coupler that is spaced apart from and disposed between the left and right antennas, and that is electromagnetically coupled to the left and right antennas so as to be operable within a second frequency bandwidth.
