A physiological signal monitoring device includes a sensing member and a transmitter connected to the sensing member and including a circuit board that has electrical contacts, and a connecting port, which includes a socket communicated to the circuit board and a plurality of steel balls. The sensing member is removably inserted into the socket. The steel balls are electrically connected to the electrical contacts and the sensing member for enabling electric connection therebetween. Each of the steel balls is frictionally rotated by the sensing member during insertion of the sensing member into the socket and removal of the sensing member from the socket.

Physiological signal monitoring device

A physiological signal monitoring device includes a base, a biosensor mounted to the base, a transmitter, and a sealing unit. The base is adapted to be mounted to a skin surface of a host. The biosensor includes a mounting seat and a sensing member that is mounted to the mounting seat. The sensing member is adapted to be partially inserted underneath the skin surface of the host for measuring an analyte of the host and to send a corresponding physiological signal. The transmitter is for receiving and transmitting the physiological signal, and has a bottom portion. The transmitter covers the base while the bottom portion faces the base. The sensing member is coupled to the transmitter. The sealing unit is used to seal paths through which a liquid possibly penetrates into an interior of the physiological signal monitoring device so as to avoid damage of the device.

An insertion device includes a cover body and an insertion module. The insertion module is disposed in the cover body, and includes a main body, an insertion seat, a pre-compressed first elastic member, a retraction seat and a pre-compressed second elastic member. The restoring force of the pre-compressed first elastic member is configured not to act on the cover body during depression of the cover body.

Insertion device for a biosensor and insertion method thereof

An insertion device includes a cover body, an insertion module. The insertion module is disposed in the cover body, and includes a main body, an insertion seat, a first elastic member, a retraction seat and a second elastic member. When the cover body is depressed, the insertion seat is driven by the first elastic member to perform an automatic-insertion operation and to collapse a limiting structure between the insertion seat and the cover body. A limiting structure between the insertion seat and the retraction seat collapses upon the collapse of the limiting structure between the insertion seat and the cover body, so that the retraction seat is driven by the second elastic member to perform an automatic-retraction operation.

A method for manufacturing an implantable micro-biosensor includes the steps of: a) providing a substrate, b) forming on a first surface of the substrate a first working electrode which at least includes a first sensing section including a first conductive material, c) forming on the first surface of the substrate at least one second working electrode which at least includes a second sensing section disposed proximate to at least one side of the first sensing section, and d) forming a chemical reagent layer which at least covers the first conductive material of the first sensing section and which reacts with the analyte to produce a product.

Method for manufacturing implantable micro-biosensor

An insertion device includes an upper casing, a lower casing and an insertion module. When the lower casing is coupled to the upper casing, an abutment portion of the lower casing limits movement of a casing engaging structure of the upper casing, such that the upper casing cannot move downwardly so as to prevent unintentional insertion operation of the insertion device.

Insertion device for a biosensor

An insertion device includes an upper casing, an insertion module and a lower casing. The insertion module is disposed in the upper casing, and includes a main body assembly, an insertion seat, a first elastic member, a retraction seat and a second elastic member. When the upper casing is depressed, the insertion seat is driven by the first elastic member to perform an automatic-insertion operation, such that limiting structure between the insertion seat and the retraction seat collapses upon the collapse of another limiting structure between the insertion seat and the main body assembly, and that the retraction seat is driven by the second elastic member to perform an automatic-retraction operation.

A physiological signal monitoring device includes a base including a base body that has a bottom plate and an opening, a biosensor mounted to the base, and a transmitter removably mounted to the base body. The base further includes a first coupling structure disposed on a top surface of the bottom plate, and the transmitter includes a second coupling structure coupled to the first coupling structure when the transmitter is mounted to the base body. When the first and second coupling structures are coupled to each other, they are disposed to be distal from a periphery cooperatively defined by the base and the transmitter. They are uncoupled from each other when an external force is applied through the opening of the base body to separate the transmitter from the base.

The present invention provides a measuring method for prolonging a usage lifetime of a biosensor to measure a physiological signal representative of a physiological parameter associated with an analyte in a biofluid. The biosensor includes two working electrodes at least partially covered by a chemical reagent and two counter electrodes having silver and a silver halide, and each silver halide has an initial amount. The measuring method includes cyclic steps of: applying a measurement voltage to drive one of the two working electrodes at a measurement period to measure the physiological signal, thereby obtaining the physiological parameter, wherein the silver halide of one of the two working electrodes is consumed by a consumption amount; stopping applying the measurement voltage; and applying a replenishment voltage to drive the consumed counter electrode at a replenishment period to replenish the silver halide of a recharge amount to the consumed counter electrode, wherein: whenever the physiological parameter is obtained, a guarding value of a sum of the recharge amount and the initial amount subtracting the consumption amount is controlled within a range of the initial amount plus or minus a specific value.

Micro biosensor and measuring method thereof

A charging device for a physiological signal transmitter used to receive a physiological signal from the subcutaneous tissue of a living body and having a first electrical connecting port is disclosed. The charging device includes a transmitter placing seat and a charging module. The transmitter placing seat includes a bearing surface for placing the physiological signal transmitter and an opening configured to align with the first electrical connection port of the physiological signal transmitter. The charging module includes a second electrical connecting port, a third electrical connecting port, a circuit assembly and a control module. The second electrical connecting port is disposed in the opening, and driven to move between a first position and a second position. The third electrical connecting port connects to a power source.

Charging device for a physiological signal transmitter and a charging method for the same

An insertion needle structure includes a needle sharp and a needle body. The needle body is integrally connected to the needle sharp and has a receiving space for receiving a biosensor. The needle body includes a base wall, two side walls and two slope sections. The side wall has a first inner edge and a first outer edge. The first inner edge is near the receiving space, and the first outer edge faces away from the receiving space. The slope section is connected between the side wall and the needle sharp. The slope section has a second inner edge connected to the first inner edge, and a second outer edge connected to the first outer edge. The first inner edge, the second inner edge, the first outer edge and the second outer edge are curved. A condition of R11>R12 is satisfied.

Insertion needle structure and inserter

A insertion module includes a main body, an auxiliary insertion seat, an insertion needle assembly and a sensor assembly. The main body has a plurality of slide grooves. The auxiliary insertion seat has a base portion, and a plurality of wing portions. The insertion needle assembly is fixed through the interference between the wing portions and wall surfaces of the slide grooves, such that the insertion needle is prevented from being oblique to an insertion direction before the insertion needle is inserted into a host.

Insertion module and insertion device having the same

An implantable micro-biosensor includes at least one counter electrode, a first working electrode, a chemical reagent layer, and at least one second working electrode. The chemical reagent layer reacts with an analyte to product a product, such that a first sensing section of the first working electrode is driven to perform a measurement action. A second sensing section of the second working electrode is driven to perform an interference-eliminating action to consume interference. The second working electrode cooperates with the counter electrode to permit the counter electrode to be driven to perform a regeneration action to regenerate silver halide.

A physiological signal monitoring device includes a biosensor, and a transmitter including a bottom casing, a processing unit and a battery. The bottom casing has a first stepped section, a second stepped section, and a riser section interconnecting the first stepped section and the second stepped section. The processing unit corresponds in position to the first stepped section. The battery corresponds in position to the first stepped section, and is configured not to overlap the processing unit in a direction of a first axis so as to reduce a thickness of the transmitter.
