A handheld communication device having a logic to transfer information from a first application to a second application by using a user interface which displays a screen shot of the information gathered at the first application, and the interface also displays a list of icons indicative of other applications that is capable of receiving such information and using such information. The logic is configured to transfer the information to the second application by a drag-and-drop motion on the interface page.

An input method using a touchscreen of an electronic device includes enabling the touchscreen to display thereon a writing track and to open a window that also shows the writing track when the touchscreen detects the writing track thereon, and enabling the touchscreen to close the window when the touchscreen does not detect another writing track thereon within a predetermined time period. An electronic device for performing the input method is also disclosed.

Input method using a touchscreen of an electronic device

The present invention discloses a power saving method of a portable Internet device, the portable Internet device and its instant messaging system. If a screen of the portable Internet device is in non-view state, for example, both backlight module and LCD panel are turned off, it means that a user is not viewing the screen, and thus the message update frequency of the instant messaging program is lowered to prevent unnecessary transmission and receiving of wireless signals, so as to reduce power comsumption of the portable Internet device.
