An imaging device includes: an image pickup element; a focal plane shutter including: a board including an opening exposing the image pickup element; a leading shutter and a trailing shutter movable between a closed position to close the opening and an opened position to open the opening; and a leading shutter actuator and a trailing shutter actuator respectively driving the leading shutter and the trailing shutter, a drive control portion that drives the leading shutter actuator and the trailing shutter actuator; and a control portion that controls the image pickup element.

An image pickup device includes: a focal plane shutter including: a board including an opening; a shutter moving to open and close the opening; an actuator moving the shutter; and a detection portion detecting that the shutter passes through a predetermined position, an image pickup element which light enters through the opening; and a drive control portion that controls the actuator to move the shutter, wherein the drive control portion performs movement control to move the shutter at least until the shutter passes through the predetermined position, and performs brake control to decelerate the shutter while the shutter is moving after the shutter passes through the predetermined position.

Focal plane shutter and optical apparatus provided with same

A focal plane shutter includes: a board including an opening; blades capable of opening and closing the opening; a drive lever swingably supported, holding a movable iron piece and driving the blades; a self-holding type solenoid capable of adsorbing to the movable iron piece by a given attraction force in a non-energized state, and reducing the given attraction force in an energized state; a biasing member biasing the drive lever to move the drive lever away from the self-holding type solenoid; and a set member moving the drive lever to abut the drive lever with the self-holding type solenoid, wherein the self-holding type solenoid is energized to reduce the given attraction force when the drive lever is swung by the set member to abut the movable iron piece with the self-holding type solenoid.

Focal plane shutter and optical apparatus

A focal plane shutter includes: a shutter substrate having an opening; a blade for opening and closing the opening; a drive member swingably supported for driving the blade; a drive spring for driving the drive member; and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting an urging force of the drive spring. One end of the drive spring is engaged with the drive member. The adjustment mechanism includes: an adjustment member engaging the other end of the drive spring and rotatably supported to adjust the urging force of the drive spring; and an engagement member abutting the adjustment member to stop rotation of the adjustment member. The adjustment member has a clearance portion for avoiding abutment against the engagement member at a given rotational position.

Focal plane shutter

A focal-plane shutter has a first plate having a first opening, a second plate having a second opening, a shutter blade disposed between the first plate and the second plate, for opening and closing the first opening and the second opening, and a thin plate disposed at a side of the first plate facing the shutter blade and extending in such a direction that the shutter blade travel. A distance between an edge of the first opening and a center of the first opening is greater than that between an edge of the thin plate and the center of the first opening.

Focal-plane shutter

A focal plane shutter for a camera has a synchronous contact member that produces less chattering than conventional synchronous contact members. One end of an opening electromagnet and one end of a closing electromagnet are separately connected to the higher-potential side of a power supply for a CPU in the camera, and the other ends of the electromagnets are grounded. An output circuit has an inverter circuit made up of a transistor and two resistors. A driver voltage for energizing the closing electromagnet is applied to the base of the transistor via a first resistor. The collector of the transistor is connected to the higher-potential side of the power supply via a second resistor. The emitter of the transistor is connected to the lower-potential side of the power supply. First and second voltage signals are produced from an output terminal on the side of the collector. One end of the synchronous contact member is connected to the lower-potential side of the power supply and the other end thereof is connected to the base of the transistor.

Focal plane shutter having synchronous contact member

To prevent a front end of a slit forming sector of one of an open shutter sector group and a close shutter sector group from colliding with an upper edge portion of a partition opening of a partition plate and preventing leakage of light, a partition plate is provided with a partition plate opening and a projection is formed on the partition plate for preventing sector collision. The projection is formed slightly lower than the level of the upper edge portion of the partition plate opening so that immediately before a slit forming sector of the close shutter sector group comes into contact with the upper edge portion of the partition plate opening, a front end of the slit forming sector rides over the projection and is displaced from the upper edge portion of the partition plate opening. When the slit forming sector is fully closed, a lower face of the front end of the slit forming sector is separated from the projected portion and is brought into close contact with the partition plate by its own elastic force.
