A fuel cell mount apparatus includes: a fuel cell system including a power generation unit for generating electric power by use of a fuel and air, a hydrogen occlusion cylinder for supplying the fuel to the power generation unit, an air supply means for supplying air to the power generation unit, and a control unit for controlling the power generating operation of the power generation unit; and a dog type robot mounted with the fuel cell system and operated by electric power outputted from the fuel cell, wherein a part of component elements of the fuel cell system and a part of component elements of the dog type robot are used in common with each other, i.e., one of the component elements functions also as the other of the component elements, whereby a component element can be made to function as both a part of an electronic apparatus and a part of the fuel cell, the wastefulness of component elements can be removed, and the fuel cell can be efficiently mounted on various electronic apparatuses.

Disclosed herein are a fuel cell and a voltage supply method which are designed to supply power to various electric circuits in a stable manner. The fuel cell of stack structure with output terminals attached to different generating elements as mentioned above produces a potential across the output electrodes which corresponds to the number of generating cells connected in series. The output terminals are connected respectively to the potential regulators varying in the allowable voltage range and the ratio of voltage conversion. A large output voltage is obtained if the generating units are connected in series, and a large output current is obtained if the generating units are connected in parallel. Thus the fuel cell can supply an adequate amount of power in response to load operation.

Fuel cells and methods of operating same are provided. In an embodiment, fuel cells include cylinders each provided with a spiral form groove portion in the surface thereof and disposed in air supply or exhaust pipes are rotated, wherein the amount of air supplied to power generation cells can be sequentially increased on a cell-by-cell basis, and water formed at the power generation cells can be discharged by sequentially raising the pressure of air. In this regard, each power generation cell is constantly supplied with not less than a fixed quantity of air, thus stable power generation can be achieved.

An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing a serial digitized analog signal controls the transport speed of a recording medium according to the sampling rate employed in digitizing the analog signal to produce a constant data density on the recording medium regardless of the sampling rate selected. The frequency of a fundamental clock signal establishes the sampling frequency during recording. A coded timing signal also recorded on the recording medium includes both a sync signal and a coded identity of the sampling frequency in use. During reproduction, the coded identity of the sampling frequency is used to select the same fundamental clock signal as was used during recording and the reproduced sync signal is phase compared with a reference signal derived from the fundamental clock signal to correspondingly control the speed and phase of transport of the recording medium. The fundamental clock signal may be manually varied during reproduction for pitch control of the reproduced analog signal.
