An oil separator for an internal combustion engine includes a case and a separation wall. The case includes inflow ports into which blow-by gas flows, a gas outflow port, and an oil discharge port. An inside of the case is divided by the separation wall into an upstream passage and a downstream passage. The downstream passage is located on the upper side of the upstream passage. The inflow ports and the oil discharge port are connected to the upstream passage. The gas outflow port is connected to the downstream passage. The inflow ports and the oil discharge port are arranged in a direction intersecting the vertical direction. The separation wall includes one connection passage that connects the upstream passage to the downstream passage on the upper side of the oil discharge port. The separation wall is located on the upper side of the inflow ports.

Oil separator for internal combustion engine

An oil mist separator includes a case. The case includes an inlet, an outlet, a gas passage, and an oil discharge portion. The case includes a first member located in an upper portion of the case, a second member located in a lower portion of the case, and a third member partitioning the first member and the second member. The first member, the second member, and the third member are welded to each other in a stacked state. The gas passage includes an upper passage defined by the first member and the third member, a lower passage defined by the second member and the third member, and a connection passage. The connection passage connects the upper passage to the lower passage at a portion in the case corresponding to an end of the case on one side.

Oil mist separator

An oil separator includes a separation chamber for separating oil mist from blow-by gas of an internal combustion engine and a case in which the separation chamber is formed. The oil separator further includes an introduction pipe, which is connected to the case and introduces blow-by gas into the separation chamber, and a discharge pipe, which is connected to the case and discharges blow-by gas that has passed through the separation chamber. An inlet inner wall portion, which is formed by a part of the discharge pipe that includes the inlet, protrudes further downward than an outlet inner wall portion, which is formed by a part of the discharge pipe that includes the outlet. A step is formed at the boundary between the inlet inner wall portion and the outlet inner wall portion to prevent oil from moving along the inner wall of the discharge pipe toward the outlet.

Oil separator for separating oil from blow-by gas of internal combustion engine

An oil pan structure is provided that can prevent overheating when the temperature of oil is high, and can rapidly raise the temperature when the temperature of the oil is low. The oil pan structure includes: an oil pan main body; a partitioning wall that partitions the inside of the oil pan main body into a first area and a second area; a plate-shaped baffle plate that is provided at an upper portion of the oil pan main body and inclines downward from the first area toward the second area. The oil pan structure further includes: an oil retaining portion at a lower portion of the second area and an oil cooling portion at a lower portion of the first area, at the bottom wall of the oil pan main body; an upper communication opening that communicates an upper surface side and a lower surface side thereof in the baffle plate; a lower communication opening at a lower end side of the partitioning wall that communicates the first area and the second area as well as causes oil that has fallen into the first area after passing through the upper communication opening to flow into the second area via the oil cooling portion.
