A power generating system including a stator, a neutral line, a rectifier circuit and a power conversion circuit is provided. The stator has a plurality of phase coils configured to provide an AC power. The neutral line is coupled to a common point of the phase coils. The rectifier circuit is coupled between the phase coils and a power bus and is configured to convert the AC power to provide a DC power to the power bus. The power conversion circuit is coupled between the neutral line and the power bus, and is controlled by a control signal to convert a power of the neutral line and thereby provide a compensation power to the power bus to stabilize a voltage of the power bus. Alternatively, the power conversion circuit is controlled by the control signal to recuperate a power passing through a part of the rectifier circuit to the stator.

Power generating system

A DC-to-DC converter and a power allocation method thereof are provided. The DC-to-DC converter includes a switching circuit and a power allocation circuit. The switching circuit is coupled to a DC power source to receive a DC input voltage and controlled by a first control signal to generate a pulse voltage. The power allocation circuit is coupled to the switching circuit to receive the pulse voltage and store an electrical energy. The power allocation circuit is further coupled to the DC power source. The power allocation circuit is controlled by a second control signal to convert the electrical energy into a DC output voltage and provides the DC output voltage to a load, or the power allocation circuit is controlled by the second control signal to recuperate the electrical energy to the DC power source.

DC-to-DC converter and power allocation method thereof

A regulator, and vehicle alternator and rotating speed detection method thereof are provided. The vehicle alternator includes a rotor coil, a stator coil portion, a rectifier circuit and a regulator. The regulator is configured to control a current flowing through the rotor coil. The rotor coil collaborates with the stator coil portion to convert mechanical energy to alternating current (AC) electrical energy. The rectifier circuit converts the AC electrical energy provided by the stator coil portion to direct current (DC) electrical energy. When the vehicle alternator performs auto start operation by using residual magnetism, the regulator detects a frequency of a rotor voltage signal on the rotor coil to serve as a basis of calculating a rotating speed of the vehicle alternator.

Regulator, and vehicle alternator and rotating speed detection method thereof

A short circuit detection circuit and a short circuit detection method for a multi-phase rectifier are provided, which are used for detecting conditions of a spectrum of a FWR signal outputted from the multi-phase rectifier in the frequency domain. Next, determining whether the detected signal indicating the amplitude of the frequency of the AC signal is greater than or equal to the reference signal, so as to determine whether the multi-phase rectifier has a short circuit condition. Therefore, the short circuit detection circuit and the short circuit detection method do not have any requirements for configuring a short circuit detection element on each current path of the multi-phase rectifier, so that the power loss and the cost can be reduced effectively.
