A driver for driving a load unit includes a conversion circuit, a bypass circuit and control circuit. The conversion circuit is configured for converting an input voltage into an output voltage, in which the load unit is coupled to the conversion circuit to receive the output voltage and an output current. The bypass circuit is electrically coupled to the conversion circuit and the load unit. The control circuit controls the output current to flow through the load unit to drive the load unit in a driving mode. The control circuit controls the output current to flow through the bypass circuit in a standby mode, in which the output current in the standby mode is lower than the output current in the driving mode.

Driver, controlling method and illumination system

A power switching circuit includes a transformer, a rectifying unit, a first switching unit, a second switching unit and a feedback unit. The transformer includes a central-tapped terminal. The transformer is configured to output a first power signal. The rectifying unit is coupled to the transformer. The rectifying unit receives the first power signal and outputs a second power signal to a load. The first switching unit is coupled to the central-tapped terminal of the transformer. The second switching unit is coupled to the rectifying unit and the first switching unit. The feedback unit is configured to receive the second power signal and control the first switching unit and the second switching unit.

Resonant power converter and switching method

An integrated light-emitting diode (LED) driver circuit includes a bi-directional power line communication (PLC) unit, a power conversion module, and a constant current (CC)/constant voltage (CV) control unit. The bi-directional PLC unit receives an AC voltage, and converts a modulation signal on the AC voltage to generate a light-dimming control signal. The power conversion module receives the AC voltage and converts the AC voltage to generate an output voltage. The CC/CV control unit receives the light-dimming control signal to generate a dimming constant current or a dimming constant voltage. The integrated LED driver circuit outputs the dimming constant current or the dimming constant voltage and the output voltage to drive a LED string.

Integrated light-emitting diode driver circuit and method of operating the same

A lighting device is provided, having at least one light emitting diode module, a power factor correction circuit, a non-regulated isolation DC to DC converter and at least one regulated non-isolation DC to DC converter. The power factor correction circuit performs a power factor correction on an AC power source and outputs a corrected DC voltage. The non-regulated isolation DC to DC converter generates an output voltage in a predetermined voltage range according to the corrected DC voltage, wherein the non-regulated isolation DC to DC converter is an open-loop controlled buck DC to DC converter. The regulated non-isolation DC to DC converter generates a fixed current or a fixed voltage according to the output voltage output from the non-regulated isolation DC to DC converter, thereby driving the light emitting diode module.
