A light driver circuit device for synchronously driving a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) is provided. The light driver circuit device includes an inverter circuit board and a balance circuit board. The inverter circuit board has an inverter circuit coupled to a driving signal for outputting a driving voltage to drive the CCFLs synchronously. The balance circuit board and the inverter circuit board are installed separately, and the balance circuit board has a balance circuit coupled to a terminal of each CCFL and the inverter circuit. The CCFL driving architecture is designed to install the inverter circuit and the balance circuit individually, thus effectively reducing the space of the driving circuit and the total cost of the circuit design. Furthermore, the balance circuit board can balance the current in each CCFL effectively, and there is no limitation to where the balance circuit board can be disposed.

Light driver circuit device and backlight device

Backlight module is disclosed. The backlight module includes a first lamp, a first voltage source, a second lamp, a second voltage source, a first external electrode, and a second external electrode. Both the first and the second voltage sources have a first terminal and a second terminal. The first voltage source is used to output a first voltage signal and electrically couples to the first terminal of the first lamp. The second voltage source is used to output a second voltage signal and electrically couples to the first terminal of the second lamp. Both the first external electrode and the second external electrode have a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal of the first external electrode electrically couples to the second voltage source and the first terminal of the second external electrode electrically couples to the first voltage source, wherein the first voltage signal and the second voltage signal are inverted.

Backlight module

A signal regulator module includes a floating current regulator, a signal sensor, and a feedback controller. The floating current regulator is electrically coupled to a driving circuit and the light sources of a display panel for regulating the driving signals based on a feedback signal in a photo couple means. The signal sensor is electrically coupled to the floating current regulator for generating a corresponding voltage signal based on the driving signal through a photo couple means. The feedback controller is electrically coupled to the signal sensor and the floating current regulator for generating the feedback signal based on the voltage signal and outputting the feedback signal to the floating current regulator.

Signal regulator module and related display device

A lamp drive circuit used for driving a number of lamps is provided. The lamps are used in a backlight module. The backlight module is used for providing a light source when a liquid crystal display displays. The lamps are respectively electrically connected to a coil. The coils have the same number of turns and have the same magnetic circuit, so that the currents flowing through the lamps are balanced.

Lamp drive circuit for driving a number of lamps and balancing currents flowing through the lamps

A lighting apparatus comprises a plurality of light sources, a power conversion circuit, a plurality of load-driving coils and a feedback generation coil. The power conversion circuit generates a driving signal for the load-driving coils to generate substantially identical driving currents for driving every light source. Furthermore, the feedback generation coil generates a feedback signal based on the inductions of the currents flowing though the plurality of load driving coils.

Lighting apparatus with current feedback

A lamp current balance and feedback system and related method are disclosed for balancing the input and output currents of a lamp by making use of a lamp current balance and feedback mechanism. The operation of the lamp current balance and feedback mechanism includes coupling the input current of the lamp for generating a first balance current by a first transformer, coupling the output current of the lamp for generating a second balance current by a second transformer, coupling the first and second transformers for substantially equalizing the first and second balance currents, generating a feedback signal based on the first or second balance current by a feedback circuit, generating a pulse width modulation signal based on the feedback signal by a pulse width modulation signal generation circuit, and driving the input and output currents of the lamp based on the pulse width modulation signal by a driving circuit.

Backlight system having a lamp current balance and feedback mechanism and related method thereof

A backlight system for use in an LCD display with a driver providing current sink control includes an LED array module, a current feedback circuit, and a current compensation circuit. The LED array module has N columns of LEDs and each LED column has M LEDs connected in serial, wherein the current feedback circuit includes N current feedback units and the current compensation circuit includes N current compensation units, both of the current feedback circuit and the current compensation circuit being electrically coupled to the LED array module. When the backlight system is in operation, a current passes through an LED column, a current feedback unit, and a current compensation unit to generate an output voltage that is used for comparison with a predetermined DC voltage, and the current is compensated based on the results of the comparison.

LED driver with current sink control and applications of the same

A backlight module including a plurality of lamps, a first circuit board, and a second circuit board is provided. Each lamp has a first electrode and a second electrode. The first circuit board has a plurality of first openings and first conductive clips. The first electrode is disposed to extend through the first opening and to be clamped by the first conductive clip. Furthermore, a plurality of current adjustment devices is disposed on the first circuit board. The current adjustment device is electrically coupled to the first electrode through the first conductive clips. In the backlight module, the conductive clips or clamping pins of the current adjustment devices are used to hold the electrodes of lamps, thereby facilitating the assembly process of backlight module.

A backlight module comprising a back bezel, at least one light emitting device, a first circuit board, and a second circuit board is provided. The light emitting device, which has an electrode, is disposed on the side of the back bezel, while the first circuit board is disposed on the edge of the back bezel. An elastic clip is used to electrically connect the first circuit board directly with the electrode of the light emitting device, while the second circuit board is electrically connected to the first circuit board.

A driver and method for driving a semiconductor light emitting device array is provided. The driver includes at least one current regulator unit having a plurality of controllable switches to regulate the current of each set of cascaded light emitting devices in the semiconductor light emitting device array. The currents of the sets are used to generate a plurality of feedback signals through a feedback unit. A compensation unit generates a plurality of control signals in response to the feedback signals and a plurality of timing signals, so as to control the controllable switches. A driver according to the present invention can independently and individually control the luminance and timing of each set of cascaded light emitting devices.

Driver and method for driving a semiconductor light emitting device array

The present invention uses one or more transformers disposed between an inverter driver to drive a plurality of lamps. Each transformer has a first coil and a second coil magnetically coupled to each other. Each of the first and second coils has an input end and an output end. The input end of the first coil is operatively connected to the input end of the second coil for receiving an input current. Each of the first and second coils has a capacitor connected between the input and output ends. The output ends of the first and second coils are used to provide output current in two separate current paths. As such, the output end of a transformer can be separately connected to the input end of two lamps or two such transformers.

Current balancing circuit for a multi-lamp system

An active current regulator circuit. In one embodiment, the active current regulator circuit includes a first input node for receiving a first reference electrical signal, a second input node for receiving a second reference electrical signal, a ground node, and an output node for outputting an output electrical signal with respect to the ground node. The active current regulator circuit further includes a PI controller having a first input node, a second input node, and an output node, and a linear regulator having a first input node electrically coupled to the output of the PI controller for receiving a voltage signal Vgenerated the PI controller, a first output node and a second output node. In operation the voltage signal Vis responsive to at least one input voltage signal applied to the first input of the second input of the amplifier, and drives the linear regulator to have a controlled electrical signal at its first output node accordingly.

Multi-lamp driver with active current regulator

A floating driving device for illumination includes a illumination unit having a first terminal and a second terminal. A first driver is electrically coupled to the first terminal of the illumination unit, for applying AC voltages to the first terminal. A second driver is electrically coupled to the second terminal of the illumination unit, for applying AC voltages to the second terminal in such a manner that the AC voltages at the first terminal and the second terminal are out of phase.
