The invention provides a display panel, which includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a light shielding pattern layer and a plurality of pixel structures. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and includes a plurality of negative liquid crystal molecules. Each of the pixel structures includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode has an electrode opening and a first finger portion extending into the electrode opening. The second electrode has two second finger portions overlapping the electrode opening. The first finger portion and the two second finger portions are alternately arranged along a first direction inside the electrode opening and extend in a second direction.

Display panel

A display panel has an odd-shaped active area and a peripheral area. The display panel includes a substrate, pixel units, gate lines and at least one dummy thin film transistor. The pixel units are disposed on the active area of the substrate. The gate lines are disposed on the substrate, each of the gate lines is coupled to one or more of the pixel units, and the number of pixel units coupled to a first gate line of the gate lines is smaller than the number of pixel units a second gate line coupled to of the gate lines. The dummy thin film transistor is disposed on the substrate, and is coupled to the first gate line.

Notched display panel

A reflective LCD panel includes a color filter substrate, an array substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a polarizing film. The array substrate and the color filter substrate are disposed oppositely. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the color filter substrate and the array substrate and has an alignment direction. The polarizing film is disposed on the color filter substrate, and color coordinates of the polarizing film in the CIE1976 color space are (a, b), wherein 0.05&#x2264;a&#x2264;0.2 and &#x2212;5&#x2264;b&#x2264;0. The liquid crystal layer has a birefringence difference &#x394;n, the liquid crystal layer has a thickness (d), when the reflective LCD panel is in a white frame, 2&#x394;n*d=&#x394;&#x3bb; is satisfied, &#x394;&#x3bb; is the optical path difference obtained when a forward light vertically enters the liquid crystal layer and is reflected by the array substrate, and 120 nm&#x2264;&#x394;n*d&#x2264;170 nm.

Reflective LCD panel

A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixel units, an electrode line surrounding the pixel units, at least one gate driver coupled with the pixel units via a plurality of gate lines, and at least one electrostatic discharge protection circuit coupled with the at least one gate driver and the electrode line.

Liquid crystal display

A shift register circuit is disclosed. The shift register circuit includes a first gate driving module, a second gate driving module, a first discharging module, and a second discharging module. The first gate driving module has a first node and a first output terminal. The second gate driving module has a second node and a second output terminal. The first discharging module is coupled to the first node, the second node, and the first output terminal respectively. The second discharging module is coupled to the second node, the first node, and the second output terminal respectively. Both the first discharging module and the second discharging module include ten transistors respectively.

Shift register circuit with two discharging modules

A liquid crystal display and its bidirectional shift register device including N stages of shift registers are provided. An istage shift register of the shift registers includes a pre-charge unit, a pull-up unit and a pull-down unit. The pre-charge unit outputs a pre-charge signal according to outputs of (i&#x2212;2)and (i+2)stage shift registers. The pull-up unit outputs a scan signal. A first discharge unit of the pull-down unit determines whether to pull the scan signal down to a reference voltage potential according to the pre-charge signal and a first voltage-dividing signal associated with a first level signal. A second discharge unit of the pull-down unit determines whether to pull the scan signal down to the reference voltage potential according to the pre-charge signal and a second voltage-dividing signal associated with a second level signal.

Liquid crystal display and bidirectional shift register device thereof

A computer system and a control method thereof are described. The computer system includes a first memory, a second memory, and a control module. The first memory is configured to store a Basic Input Output System (BIOS) program. The second memory includes a first memory block and a second memory block. The control module, when a scan function is initiated, is configured to execute the BIOS program to generate a first restart program, wherein the control module is configured to store the first restart program into the first memory block and scan the second memory block, and stop using an abnormal cell in the second memory block.

Computer system and control method thereof

An LCD and bidirectional shift register apparatuses thereof are provided. One of the bidirectional shift register apparatuses includes Nshift registers. An ishift register includes a pre-charge unit, a pull-up unit and a pull-down unit. When i is greater than or equal to 3 and less than or equal to N&#x2212;2, the pre-charge unit receives outputs of an (i&#x2212;2)and an (i+2)shift register. When i is equal to 1 or 2, the pre-charge unit receives a first start pulse signal and the output of the (i+2)shift register. When i is equal to (N&#x2212;1) or N, the pre-charge unit receives a second start pulse signal and the output of the (i&#x2212;2)shift register. The pre-charge unit outputs a pre-charge signal. The pull-up unit outputs a scan signal. The pull-down unit receives the pre-charge signal to control a level of the scan signal.

Liquid crystal display and bidirectional shift register apparatus thereof

A pixel substrate and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The method includes: forming a gate and a lower pad on a substrate; forming a gate insulating layer overlaying the gate and the lower pad; forming a channel layer and a first electrode layer on the gate insulating layer, in which the projection areas of the channel layer and the gate on the substrate are overlapped; forming an etching-barrier material layer on the substrate and simultaneously forming a contact opening at the gate insulating layer to expose the lower pad; forming a source, a drain and an upper pad on the substrate; forming a protective layer; forming a second electrode layer with multiple slits on the protective layer, in which one of the first and second electrode layers is electrically connected to the drain. The invention can simplify the process steps and reduce fabrication time.

Pixel substrate and fabrication method thereof

A display apparatus includes a transparent substrate, a transparent matrix layer, a black matrix layer and a conductive layer. The transparent matrix layer is disposed above the transparent substrate. The black matrix layer is disposed below the transparent substrate. The conductive layer is disposed between the transparent substrate and the black matrix layer.

Display apparatus

An LCD and a bidirectional shift register device thereof are provided. The bidirectional shift register device of the invention is disposed on the substrate of the panel and includes multi-stages shift registers in series connection. Each stage shift register includes a pre-charging unit, a pull-up unit and a pull-down unit, in which the pre-charging unit receives a first preset clock signal and the output from a (i&#x2212;1)th stage shift register or a (i+1)th stage shift register so as to thereby output a charging signal. The pull-up unit receives the charging signal and a second preset clock signal so as to thereby output a scan signal. The pull-down unit receives the second preset clock signal, a third preset clock signal and the output from the (i+2)th stage shift register or the (i&#x2212;2)th stage shift register so as to decide whether or not pulling down the scan signal to a reference level.

An active device array substrate for saving material cost includes a substrate, scan lines, data lines, a thin film transistor, a color filter layer, a transparent conductive layer, an insulating layer and a pixel electrode. The color filter layer covers and contacts the scan lines, data lines and the thin film transistor. The transparent conductive layer is disposed on the color filter layer and electrically isolated from the scan lines, the data lines and the thin film transistor by the color filter layer. The insulating layer covers the transparent conductive layer. The pixel electrode is disposed on the insulating layer and connected to the thin film transistor.

Active device array substrate

A transflective type liquid crystal display comprises a first substrate with a reflective region and a transmission region. A gate region, an insulation layer and a semiconductor layer are sequentially formed on the first substrate. The semiconductor layer has a source region, a drain region and a channel region. A first dielectric layer is disposed on the semiconductor layer and has a through hole to expose a part of the drain region. A first common electrode is disposed on the first dielectric layer and the through hole to cover the exposed part of the drain region. A reflective electrode is disposed on the first dielectric layer located in the reflective region. A second dielectric layer is disposed on the first common electrode and the reflective electrode. A pixel electrode is disposed on the second dielectric layer and connected to the drain region via the through hole.

Transflective liquid crystal display and method thereof

A touch panel that includes a first substrate, a touch sensing layer, a compensation pattern layer, a second substrate, and a first optical adhesive layer is provided. The touch sensing layer includes a plurality of electrode sets arranged in parallel, and each of the electrode sets includes a scan electrode and a plurality of sensing electrodes. An orthogonal projection of the touch sensing layer on the first substrate is not overlapped with an orthogonal projection of the compensation pattern layer on the first substrate. The compensation pattern layer and the touch sensing layer are located between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first optical adhesive layer is located between the first substrate and the second substrate. A touch display is also provided.
