A control method for controlling a server system includes that a host server sends a first reset signal to a first server, the first server sends a second reset signal to a second server, and so on, till an (n&#x2212;1)server sends an nreset signal to an nserver. The nserver performs a system boot operation of the nserver, then sends a first notification signal to the (n&#x2212;1)server. The (n&#x2212;1)server performs a system boot operation of the (n&#x2212;1)server after receiving the first notification signal, then sends a second notification signal to an (n&#x2212;2)server, and so on. After receiving an (n&#x2212;1)notification signal, the first server performs a system boot operation of the first server, then the first server sends an nnotification signal to the host server.

Control method for controlling a server system by means of a set of reset signals and a set of notification signals

An input/output switching system for a server is disclosed herein. The input/output switching system includes a logic-determination device and at least one connector. The at least one connector electrically connects with at least one electronic card. The at least one connector comprises at least one first standard-bus pin group, at least one second standard-bus pin group, and a first distinguishing-signal pin group. The logic-determination device generates a first determination result which is used for determination of type of the at least one electronic card by receiving a distinguishing signal transmitted from the first distinguishing-signal pin group.

A game controller includes a main body, a detachable electrode, a sensor and a controlling unit. The main body includes a grasping part. The detachable electrode is disposed on the grasping part. The sensor detects whether the detachable electrode is in contact with the grasping part. According to a result of judging whether the detachable electrode is in contact with the grasping part, the controlling unit controls the detachable electrode to generate a corresponding electric shock signal.

A method for handling an invalid packet for a blade server includes identifying whether a packet is valid, when the packet is identified as invalid, comparing the invalid packet with a plurality of packet data stored in a storage module, when the invalid packet is similar to a first packet datum among the plurality of packet data, executing a command indicated by the first packet datum, and ignoring the invalid packet when the invalid packet is not similar to any of the plurality of packet data.

A multi-switching device and a multi-switching method thereof perform the following steps. A first control signal and a second control signal are received. Whether the first control signal and the second control signal are received is determined. When the first control signal and the second control signal are received, whether the first control signal and the second control signal specify any control requests is determined. When the first control signal and the second control signal respectively specify a control request, a control signal protection procedure is performed to control a first bus to communicate with one of second buses, and an error warning signal is outputted. The operating method includes determining an operating state of a logic device; receiving a present power level of a mainboard; comparing the present power level of the mainboard with a present power level threshold of the mainboard, and determining whether to generate an alert signal accordingly; selectively providing the alert signal to a system controller or a baseboard management controller (BMC) according to the operating state; and adjusting, through one of the system controller and the BMC, whichever receives the alert signal, the present power level threshold of the mainboard.

Computer system and operating method thereof

A fan control system and a method thereof are applicable to a computer device. The system includes a fan, a board management unit, a power control module and a rotation speed switching module. The fan is driven by a control power and a rotation speed control signal. The board management unit provides a fan enabling signal, a rotation speed switching signal and a first fan rotation speed signal in a standby state. The power control module receives the fan enabling signal to determine whether to provide the control power to the fan, and switches between an auxiliary power or a main power served as the control power to the fan. The rotation speed switching module receives the rotation speed switching signal to accordingly switch between the first fan rotation speed signal or a second fan rotation speed signal served as the rotation speed control signal to the fan.

Fan control system and fan control method

A power supply apparatus of a computer system and a method for controlling a power sequence thereof are provided. The power supply apparatus includes a power sequence module, a voltage supply unit, and a state recording module. The power sequence module provides voltage enable signals in turn according to first power-good signals. The voltage supply unit provides power voltages in turn according to the voltage enable signals and returns second power-good signals. Components in the computer system also provide third power-good signals when the components receive the power voltages. When one of the third power-good signals is converted from enabled to disabled, the state recording module delays a tolerance period according to the component corresponding to the third power-good signal, and converts the first power-good signal corresponding to the third power-good signal from enabled to disabled after the tolerance period is delayed.

Power supply apparatus of computer system and method for controlling power sequence thereof

A power redundant system is provided. The power redundant system includes N first voltage generators, M second voltage generators, a switch unit and a control unit. A voltage of the i-th first voltage generator and a voltage of the j-th second voltage generator are equal. When a power good signal is enabled, the control unit enables a power control signal to control the switch unit so that an output of the switch unit is connected to an output of the j-th second voltage generator. When a power supply signal is enabled and the power good signal is disabled, the control unit disables the power control signal to control the switch unit so that the output of the switch unit is connected to an output of the i-th first voltage generator. Therefore, the first voltage generator and the second voltage generator of the system can backup each other.

Power redundant system

A handling device and method for voltage faults applicable for using in a computer system. The handling method includes acquiring a signal of voltage fault. According to the signal of voltage fault and by looking up at tables, an operating status of the computer system corresponding to the signal of voltage fault is acquired, and generating a control signal according to the operating status. Then, the computer system according to the control signal is restarted.

Handling device and method for voltage faults

A method for processing booting errors for a computer having multiple voltage regulator downs (VRDs) includes reading a boot sequence including multiple power-on stages, and each power-on stage corresponds to a boot voltage and one of the VRDs; performing the power-on stages according to the boot sequence, and determining whether an output voltage of the VRD corresponding to each power-on stage is equal to the corresponding boot voltage; and when the output voltage of any one of the VRDs is not equal to the corresponding boot voltage, performing a debugging procedure.

Method for processing booting errors

A system error analysis device which includes a top unit and a storage unit coupled to the top module is mentioned. The storage unit is configured to store each of the input data, each of the output data and each of the bus data transmitted by the top unit. When receiving an interrupting signal, the system error analysis device outputs the input data, the output data and the bus data stored as soon as the interrupting signal is received and the input data, the output data and the bus data stored before the receiving of the interrupting signal. Accordingly, by comparing and analyzing the data output by system error analysis device, the system employing the system error analysis device is able to obtain the reason of the generation of the interrupting signal.

System error analysis method and the device using the same

A debounce apparatus and a method thereof are provided, which includes a debounce module, a register and a timer. The debounce module receives an input signal and eliminates a bounce phenomenon of the input signal within a transient-time of the state-changing of the input signal to produce a debounce signal. The register outputs an output signal according to the value stored in the register. When the input signal changes its state, the timer starts time-counting according to a counting-value of settling-time; when the debounce signal changes its state, the timer recounts time; and when time-counting is ended and when the value corresponding to the debounce signal is different from the register's value, the register's value is updated by the value corresponding to the debounce signal. In this way, the apparatus can eliminate the system misjudgement problem caused by occurred voltage level errors in the stable state.
