The invention provides a projection apparatus and an illumination system. The projection apparatus includes an illumination system, a light valve, and a projection lens. The illumination system includes at least one laser light source, at least one light separating element, a wavelength conversion element, and a reflective element. The at least one laser light source is adapted to generate at least one laser beam, and the at least one laser beam is adapted to penetrate at least one first coating region of the light separating element. The wavelength conversion element is adapted to convert the laser beam from the light separating element into a converted beam. A second coating region of a reflective surface of the reflective element is adapted to reflect a portion of the laser beam from the wavelength conversion element, and the second coating region and the first coating region are adapted to reflect the converted beam. The portion of the laser beam and the converted beam constitute an illumination beam. In the projection apparatus and the illumination system of the invention, the converted beam may be more effectively used, so that the illumination system has good optical efficiency, and the projection apparatus has good imaging effects.

Projection apparatus and illumination system

An illumination system includes a light integration rod and a light source module. The light integration rod has a light-in end, a light-out end opposite to the light-in end, and phosphor distributed between the light-in end and the light-out end. The light source module is configured to provide a laser beam to enter into the light integration rod through the light-in end thereof. The phosphor is used to convert the laser beam into a first color beam to form an illumination beam. The illumination beam then emits out from the light integration rod through the light-out end thereof. A projection apparatus using the aforementioned illumination system is also provided.

Projection apparatus and illumination system thereof

An illumination system including a coherent light source device, a light delivery module, and a light wavelength conversion module is provided. The coherent light source device includes a light emitting source and a light collimating element. The light emitting source is adapted to emit at least one coherent light beam. The light collimating element is located on a transmission path of the at least one coherent light beam from the light emitting source and collimates the at least one coherent light beam. The light delivery module is located on a transmission path of at least one coherent light beam from the light collimating element and includes a first lens. The first lens has a lens array surface adapted to diverge any of the coherent light beam from the light collimating element. A projection apparatus is also provided.

An illumination system including at least one laser source, at least one anisotropic light expanding element and a wavelength conversion element is provided. The at least one laser source emits a laser beam. The at least one anisotropic light expanding element is disposed on the transmission path of the laser beam and causes the laser beam to expand along a light expanding direction. The light expanding direction is substantially parallel to the slow axis of the laser beam. The wavelength conversion element is disposed on the transmission path of the laser beam. A projection apparatus is also provided.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

A light wavelength conversion module including a substrate, a first light wavelength conversion layer, and a first light transmissive layer is provided. The substrate has a light passing-through area and a first light wavelength conversion area. The first light wavelength conversion layer is located at the first light wavelength conversion area and between the first light transmissive layer and the substrate. The first light wavelength conversion layer is suitable for converting a coherent light beam into a first conversion light beam, wherein wavelengths of the coherent light beam and the first conversion light beam are different from each other. An illumination system and a projection apparatus are also provided.

Light wavelength conversion module, illumination system, and projection apparatus

A projection apparatus has a light source module including a light-emitting element, an optical path switching element, a wavelength conversion element, a first reflection element, and a first beam splitter element. The optical path switching element switches a first color beam between a first optical path and a second optical path. When the first color beam is switched to the first optical path, the first color beam is propagated to the wavelength conversion element to excite a first and second wavelength conversion layers on the wavelength conversion element to produce a second color beam and a third color beam. When the first color beam is switched to the second optical path, the first color beam is propagated to the first reflection element.

Light source module and projection apparatus for switching illumination between wavelength conversion element and reflection element

A light source module includes a light-emitting device emitting an excitation light beam, a reflective component including a reflective surface with a first focal point and a second focal point, a wavelength conversion device including a plurality of excited regions and disposed nearby the first focal point and on the transmission path of the excitation light beam, and an optical component. By rotating the wavelength conversion device, the excitation light beam irradiates the different excited regions at different time, so that the excitation light beam is converted into different wavelength light beams at different time, and the different wavelength light beams respectively correspond to the excited regions and are reflected by the reflective surface and converged at the second focal point. The optical component is disposed nearby the second focal point so the different wavelength light beams pass through the second focal point and are transmitted to the optical component.
