An optical detecting device includes a multi-axis instruction outputting mechanism and an optical detecting module, and shift of the multi-axis instruction outputting mechanism is determined accordingly. An actuating component of the multi-axis instruction outputting mechanism is moved in reciprocation at a first operating direction to output an instruction. The optical detecting module is detachably disposed to the actuating component. An interval between the optical detecting module and the actuating component is varied according to a relative movement between the optical detecting module and the actuating component at a second operating direction, and the actuating component can be shifted between different gears. The optical detecting module determines the interval and gearshift according to variation of a reflecting signal actuated by the actuating component, and utilizes the reflecting signal to acquire a movement of a feature point detachably disposed on the actuating component along the first operating direction to interpret the instruction.

Optical detecting device capable of determining shift of a multi-axis instruction outputting mechanism

A pen mouse with a tracing compensation function includes an optical navigation module, an angle detector and a processor. The optical navigation module is adapted to generate coordinates of the pen mouse. The angle detector is adapted to detect an inclination angle of the pen mouse. The processor is electrically connected to the optical navigation module and the angle detector, and adapted to transform the inclination angle into a compensation parameter and further to compute a trace of the pen mouse via computation of the coordinates by the compensation parameter.

Provided herein are an auxiliary device and a navigation system using the auxiliary device. The auxiliary device is configured to integrate with a pen mouse. When the pen mouse is tightly combined with the auxiliary device, the auxiliary device determines to use a first cursor displacement information data provided by the pen mouse and/or a second cursor displacement information data provided by the auxiliary device as a control signal for controlling a cursor corresponding to an electronic device according to an operation mode selected by the user.

The present disclosure illustrates an optical navigation chip. The optical navigation chip is disposed on an optical navigation module. The optical navigation module includes a light-emitting unit. The light-emitting unit provides a light beam to irradiate a surface of a displacement generating unit. The light beam has a low divergence angle to reduce scattering. The optical navigation chip includes a sensing array and a displacement calculating unit. The sensing array is disposed corresponding to the surface. The sensing array receives a reflected light beam which the surface reflects, and captures an image once every capturing interval based upon the reflected light beam. The displacement calculating unit calculates a relative displacement between the optical navigation chip and the surface according to the images.

A navigation trace calibrating method and a related optical navigation device are utilized to transform a first trace line generated by the optical navigation device into a second trace line suitable for user operation. The navigation trace calibrating method includes establishing a reference coordinate system, reading and analyzing the first trace line, calculating a first offset of the first trace line relative to the reference coordinate system, defining an offset between the first trace line and the second trace line as calibration weight to acquire a second offset of the second trace line relative to the reference coordinate system, and calculating a value of the calibration weight according to the second offset and a length of the first trace line.

Navigation trace calibrating method and related optical navigation device

A pen-typed navigation device includes a housing, a pen tip, a pressure detecting unit, and a navigation module having an optical large depth of field detecting unit and a processing unit. The pen tip is disposed on the housing. The pressure detecting unit is disposed on the pen tip to detect a pressure of the pen tip applied to a working plane. The optical large depth of field detecting unit is disposed by the pen tip and has a specific range about the depth of field, and can detect movement information of the pen tip relative to the working plane while a distance between the pen tip and the working plane is smaller than the foresaid specific range. The processing unit is adapted to acquire navigation information generated by the pen tip according to detection result of the pressure detecting unit and the optical large depth of field detecting unit.
