A projection system and a method for selecting an image capturing number for image blending are provided. Multiple projection devices are driven one-by-one to project a pattern; multiple image capturing devices are driven to capture the pattern projected by each projection device, so as to obtain multiple image capturing results corresponding to the image capturing devices. Finally, at least one of the image capturing devices is selected to serve as an image capturing source for image blending based on the image capturing results. An image capturing range is identified through projected patterns, and an effective range is calculated and then selected for use, which is used for calculations required for automatic blending, so as to avoid a problem of being unable to maintain blending and merging due to environmental influences or failure of the image capturing device when performing image recognition and calculation required for automatic blending and merging.

Projection system and method for selecting image capturing number for image blending

A projection system, including a projection target, a projection device, an image capturing device, and a processor circuit, is provided. The projection target includes a reflective surface and an anti-reflective film disposed on the reflective surface. The anti-reflective film defines a projection range. The image capturing device captures a first captured image containing the projection target. The first captured image includes an image of the anti-reflective film. The processor circuit determines a position and a shape of the anti-reflective film in the first captured image according to the first captured image. The projection device projects a projection image on the projection target. The projection device adjusts the projection image according to the position and the shape of the anti-reflective film, and correspondingly adjusts the projection image to the projection range. In addition, an image projection method is also provided.

The disclosure provides an image blending method. The method includes projecting a plurality of images onto a projection surface, respectively, wherein an image of the first portion of the first image and an image of the first portion of the second image projected onto the projection surface overlap each other in the first overlapping area on the projection surface; the image parameters of all pixels of the first non-overlapping area and the second non-overlapping area are adjusted according to the position of the first non-overlapping area and the position of the second non-overlapping area, such that the black-level brightness of the first non-overlapping image in the first non-overlapping area of the first image and the black-level brightness of the second non-overlapping image in the second non-overlapping area of the second image are close to the black-level brightness of the first overlapping image in the first overlapping area.

Image blending method, projection system and processing device thereof

A projection system and a self-adaptive adjustment method are provided. The projection system includes a projection device, an image capturing device, and a processing device. The projection device sequentially projects sub-pattern arrays of a pattern array to a projection region of a projection surface. The image capturing device sequentially captures the sub-pattern arrays projected on the projection surface to output pattern images. The processing device analyzes the pattern images to obtain pattern coordinates and a pattern order of projected patterns in each pattern image. The processing device determines at least a part of the projected patterns to be effective patterns according to the pattern coordinates and the pattern order, and adjusts the projection device according to the effective patterns. The projection system and the self-adaptive adjustment method provide good projection quality.

Projection system and self-adaptive adjustment method thereof

A display system for displaying a panoramic image and an operation method thereof are provided. The display system for displaying a panoramic image includes N projectors and a controller. The N projectors project N sub-images according to N image data and form a panoramic image. Each sub-image has a sub-image overlapping area, so that two adjacent sub-images of the N sub-images partially overlap, and that a first sub-image and an Nsub-image of the N sub-images partially overlap. The controller copies a first edge image corresponding to a first edge of an original image and connects the first edge image to a second edge of the original image that is opposite to the first edge, so as to generate an extended image corresponding to the sub-image overlapping area. The controller slices an adjusted image containing the original image and the extended image to generate the N image data.

Display system for displaying panoramic image and operation method thereof

The disclosure provides an image blending method. The method includes projecting a first image and a second image onto a projection surface by a first projector and a second projector, respectively, and the first image and the second image overlap each other; and projecting the first control pattern onto the first image, adjusting the first control pattern such that a first control pattern frame matches a boundary of an overlapping area, and thereby identifying a position of a first non-overlapping area in the first image. Additionally, a similar operation is performed by the second projector to identify a second non-overlapping area in the second image. All pixels in the first non-overlapping area and the second non-overlapping area are adjusted such that the black-level brightness of the first non-overlapping area and the second non-overlapping area correspond to the black-level brightness of the overlapping area to obtain better brightness uniformity.

Image blending method and projection system

A method for triggering projection fusion calibration and a projection system is provided, including the following. First and second display contents are projected respectively onto a projection surface by a first projection device and a second projection device and fused into a complete display content including an overlapping area and a first non-overlapping area corresponding to a part of the first display content. A first image on the projection surface is captured, a first sharpness value corresponding to the first non-overlapping area and a specific sharpness value corresponding to the overlapping area based on the first image are obtained, and a first sharpness value difference between the first sharpness value and the specific sharpness value is obtained. In response to determining the first sharpness value difference being greater than a first threshold a fusion calibration operation is triggered, or a fusion calibration prompt is provided.

Method for triggering projection fusion calibration and projection system

A projection system and a positioning method capable of positioning a projected image are provided. The projection system includes a projection device, an image capturing device, and a determination module. The projection device projects a plurality of display grid points. The image capturing device captures images of the plurality of display grid points to obtain a plurality of display results corresponding to the plurality of display grid points. The determination module receives the plurality of display results. The determination module controls the projection device not to project at least one unrecognizable display grid point corresponding to the at least one unrecognizable display result when determining that the plurality of display results include the at least one unrecognizable display result. The invention is provided to improve the accuracy of matching or stitching of a projected image.

A method for generating a mask and a projection apparatus for performing the method are provided. The method includes: projecting a first pattern onto a projection surface, wherein the projection surface includes a non-planar region, and the first pattern includes multiple first straight lines; shooting a first image of the projection surface on which the first pattern is rendered; finding at least one first specific line segment in the first image, wherein each first specific line segment includes at least one first inflection point; delineating a first contour based on the at least one first inflection point in a case of determining that the at least one first inflection point in the first image is suitable for delineating the first contour; and generating a first mask pattern based on the first contour in a case of determining that the first contour matches a region contour of the non-planar region.

A projection device including a projection unit, an image capture device and a control unit is provided. The projection unit includes a light source. The projection unit is configured to project an image picture to a projection area. The image capture device is configured to obtain an image capture picture including the image picture in an image capture range. The image capture range is larger than the projection area. The control unit is coupled to the image capture device. The control unit is configured to determine, according to a picture variation value of the image capture picture, whether to adjust the brightness of the light source. In addition, a brightness adjusting method used for the projection device is also provided. According to the disclosure, the brightness of the light source of the projection device may be properly adjusted according to environmental factors.

A projection system and a projection method are provided. The projection system includes a processing module, a projection module and a photographing module. The projection module is coupled to the processing module, and projects a first projection image including a first asymmetric graph. The photographing module is coupled to the processing module, and captures at least a part of the first projection image based on a photographing range, so as to output a first photographed image including at least one second asymmetric graph. The processing module analyzes the first photographed image to determine whether the at least one second asymmetric graph is consistent with a geometric configuration of the first asymmetric graph. The processing module determines an effective photographing area according to one of the at least one second asymmetric graph that is consistent with the geometric configuration of the first asymmetric graph in the first photographed image.

A projection system including a processing device and a projector is provided. The projector is coupled to the processing device. The projector includes a projection unit and an image capturing unit. The projection unit is configured to project an image frame onto a projection plane, where the image includes a grid point array. The image capturing unit is configured to capture the image frame on the projection plane according to a plurality of setting parameters, so as to obtain a plurality of captured images corresponding to the setting parameters. The processing device selects one of the captured images meeting a preset image condition as a desired captured image, and sets the image capturing unit according to a desired setting parameter. In addition, an automatic setting method is also provided. The projection system of the invention can operate without complex manual setting procedures.

A projection system including a projection device, an image capturing device and a processing device is provided. The projection device projects a plurality of grid patterns to a projection target. The projection target includes a border region and a projection region. The border region surrounds the projection region. The grid patterns are deformed at the border region. The image capturing device captures a capturing image including an image of the projection target. The image of the projection target includes a deformation region. The processing device receives the capturing image including the image of the projection target, and determines a position of the border region according to the deformation region of the image of the projection target, and controls the projection device to project a projection image to the projection region of the projection target according to the position of the border region.

A projection system including a processing device and a first projector is provided. The first projector includes a first projection unit and a first image capturing unit. The first projection unit is configured to sequentially project a first reference image and a second reference image.
