A pixel reading device, which includes a first capacitor, a second capacitor, a voltage generating circuit, and an analog front-end (AFE) circuit, is provided. A first terminal of the first capacitor is coupled to a fingerprint sensing pixel to receive a sensing voltage. A first terminal of the second capacitor is coupled to a second terminal of the first capacitor. The voltage generating circuit provide a compensation voltage to a second terminal of the second capacitor. During a sensing period of the fingerprint sensing pixel, the compensation voltage is at an initial level. During a level reading period of the fingerprint sensing pixel, the compensation voltage is pulled up from the initial level to a compensation level to compensate a common mode component of the sensing voltage. An input terminal of the AFE circuit is coupled to the second terminal of the first capacitor.

Pixel reading device and pixel reading method

A readout integrated circuit configured to read out sensing signals from an optical sensing panel is provided. The optical sensing panel includes a sensor array for fingerprint sensing. The readout integrated circuit includes a plurality of input terminals and a first discharging circuit. The plurality of input terminals are coupled to a plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel. The first discharging circuit is coupled to one of the plurality of input terminals. The first discharging circuit serves to discharge an output terminal included in the plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel by a first current during a readout period. The readout integrated circuit reads out a voltage of the output terminal as a sensing signal. The first discharging circuit includes a first switch element controlled by a control signal and a first current source which generates the first current.

Readout integrated circuit

An optical fingerprint sensing module includes an image sensing device, a light source and a light shielding structure. The image sensing device is configured to sense light transmitted from a fingerprint of a finger on a display panel. The image sensing device includes a light sensing plane having a first geometric center. The light source includes a light emitting plane having a second geometric center. The first geometric center is separated from the second geometric center by a distance from 2 mm to 20 mm. The light shielding structure is disposed between the image sensing device and the light source. In examples, the optical fingerprint sensing module further includes a field angle controller to constrain light pass there through with a field angle of 5-60 degrees. A display device including an optical fingerprint sensing module is disclosed herein as well.

An image processing circuit for controlling a panel is configured to: receive information of a fixed pattern noise (FPN) corresponding to a first sensing zone of the panel, wherein the first sensing zone is determined according to a touch position of a finger; scan the first sensing zone to perform fingerprint sensing on the finger, to receive a plurality of raw sensing signals; remove the FPN from the plurality of raw sensing signals to generate a plurality of modified sensing signals; and output a plurality of fingerprint data to a host for fingerprint recognition, wherein the plurality of fingerprint data are converted from the plurality of modified sensing signals.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a fingerprint identification method, apparatus, and an electronic product. The method comprises: acquiring a touch signal of a finger to be identified on a display component; determining a touch zone; determining a fingerprint identification bright zone and a fingerprint identification dark zone on the display component based on the touch zone, wherein the fingerprint identification dark zone is close to and at least partially surrounds the fingerprint identification bright zone; and performing a fingerprint identification of the finger to be identified based on a bright zone fingerprint detection signal corresponding to the fingerprint identification bright zone and a dark zone fingerprint detection signal corresponding to the fingerprint identification dark zone. The interference during under-screen fingerprint identification can be effectively reduced and the accuracy of under-screen fingerprint identification can be improved through the fingerprint identification method of the present disclosure.

Fingerprint identification method and apparatus

A fingerprint sensing device that includes an analog-front-end (AFE) circuit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a correction circuit is introduced. The AFE circuit generates an image signal, and the ADC converts the image signal to an output digital code. The correction circuit receives a plurality of first output digital codes that are generated by performing a plurality of first fingerprint sensing operations in a plurality of first exposure time periods. The correction circuit is further configured to calculate a second exposure time period for a second fingerprint sensing operation according to the first output digital codes and the first exposure time periods, wherein the fingerprint sensing device performs the second fingerprint operation in the second exposure time period to generate a second output digital code.

An optical fingerprint sensing apparatus, a driver apparatus, and an operation method are provided. The driver apparatus includes a display driving device and a fingerprint sensing driving device. The display driving device drives the display panel to display different frames with different luminances, and the different frames are used to generate at least one of different transmitted light intensities and different reflected light intensities. The fingerprint sensing driving device drives the display panel to perform a fingerprint capturing operation to capture a plurality of different fingerprint images of a finger under the at least one of the different transmitted light intensities and the different reflected light intensities. The different fingerprint images are processed to generate a processed fingerprint image.

Optical fingerprint sensing apparatus, driver apparatus thereof and operation method

A fingerprint sensing device and a driving method for a fingerprint sensing panel thereof are provided. The driving method includes: detecting whether a finger touch occurs on the fingerprint sensing panel; during a period of the finger touch, switching the brightness mode of the fingerprint sensing panel from a normal brightness mode to a high brightness mode so as to sense a fingerprint; driving the fingerprint sensing panel to sense the fingerprint before a mode switching time point at which the brightness mode of the fingerprint sensing panel is switched to the high brightness mode. The fingerprint sensing panel includes a pixel row, wherein the pixel row is subjected to a reset, an exposure period and a sampling in sequence to output a row sensing result, the reset is earlier than the mode switching time point, and the sampling is later than the mode switching time point.

A method of fingerprint recognition for a fingerprint sensing circuit includes steps of: performing a first fingerprint sensing process including a first exposure operation and a first readout operation under a first light spot setting; and performing a second fingerprint sensing process including a second exposure operation and a second readout operation under a second light spot setting. Wherein, a host performs a first fingerprint recognition in response to the first fingerprint sensing process; and wherein, the second light spot setting and the first fingerprint recognition are performed simultaneously.

A readout integrated circuit configured to read out sensing signals from an optical sensing panel including a sensor array for fingerprint sensing is provided. The readout integrated circuit includes a plurality of input terminals, a comparator circuit and a control circuit. The plurality of input terminals are configured to be coupled to a plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel. The comparator circuit is configured to receive an output voltage from an output terminal of the plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel and at least one reference voltage, compare the output voltage to the at least one reference voltage and output a comparison result. The control circuit is coupled to the comparator circuit. The control circuit is configured to receive the comparison result and determine a supplementary charge amount to be charged to or discharged from the output terminal according to the comparison result.

A method for performing fingerprint sensing is introduced. The method includes performing a predetermined number of consecutive fingerprint sensing cycles; informing a processing unit that a fingerprint sensing driver is ready for providing pre-scanned fingerprint data after each cycle of a fingerprint sensing cycle set, wherein the fingerprint sensing cycle set includes at least one of the fingerprint sensing cycles except for a last one of the fingerprint sensing cycles; and providing the processing unit with the pre-scanned fingerprint data obtained from the each cycle of the fingerprint sensing cycle set. Each of the optical sensing pixels includes a first photodevice for sensing an illumination through an optical path. The optical sensing pixels are configured to generate sensing signals. Each of the optical blocked pixels includes a second photodevice blocked from the illumination. The optical sensing pixels are configured to generate a plurality of tracking signals. The readout circuit is configured to generate output signals according to differences between the sensing signals and the tracking signals.

A fingerprint and proximity sensing apparatus for fingerprint recognizing and proximity sensing is provided. The fingerprint and proximity sensing apparatus includes a display panel, a fingerprint sensor, and at least one proximity sensing light emitting diode. The fingerprint sensor has an optical sensing array. The optical sensing array is configured to receive a first light emitted from the display panel and a second light emitted from the at least one proximity sensing light emitting diode at different time periods. The first light and the second light have different ranges of wave length. A sensing process is also provided.
