Provides a type of gold(III) complex supported by tetradentate ligand having a structure of formula (I). The light-emitting device prepared by using the complex as a light-emitting layer material or dopant in the light-emitting device has a high external quantum efficiency, and a low efficiency roll-off. In addition, the preparation process of the tetradentate ligand provided in the present disclosure is simple and the yield is satisfactory. More importantly, the preparation reaction of the material is controllable and stable, and has a good reproducibility, and is suitable for industrial application.

Tetradentate ligands, gold(III) complexes, preparation method and use thereof

Methods for asymmetric cis-dihydroxylation ('AD') of quinones to produce cis-diols of quinones with high yield (i.e. a yield ≥30%) and high enantioselectivity (i.e. an enantiometric excess ≥30%) are disclosed. The method uses an iron-based catalyst, such as one or more Fe(II) complexes, as the catalyst, and can be performed under mild reaction conditions (e.g. a temperature ≤50° C. at 1 atom in open air). The method generally includes: (i) maintaining a reaction mixture at a temperature for a period of time sufficient to form a product, where the reaction mixture contains a quinone, one or more iron-based catalyst(s), and a solvent, and where the product contains a chiral cis-diol. Optionally, the method also includes adding an oxidant into the reaction mixture prior to and/or during step (i), such as a hydrogen peroxide solution.

An asymmetric tetradentate metal complex of a N{circumflex over ( )}C{circumflex over ( )}C{circumflex over ( )}N comprising tetradentate ligand has a metal connected to binding sites which are connected to each other via three or four covalent bonds that can be either single or double bonds with bridging linkers reside between C{circumflex over ( )}C and C{circumflex over ( )}N moieties. These linkers result in three-dimension metal complexes with distorted square planar geometries. The four donor atoms coordinate to a metal center. Upon metal binding a 5-6-6 membered metallocycle is formed upon chelation including a first nitrogen donor bond, a first metal-carbon bond, a second metal-carbon bond, and a second nitrogen donor bond. The light emission from these metal complexes can be tuned by the ligand structure over the entire visible spectrum.

Iridium (III) complexes containing N-heterocyclic carbene ligand, synthesis, and their use thereof in cancer treatment

Disclosed are conjugates, compositions, and methods that include or use one or more gold(III) porphyrin complexes. Preferred conjugates are gold(III) porphyrin-poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) conjugates. Platinum (II) complexes containing N-heterocyclic carbene ligand and pincer ligands, synthesis, and their applications in cancer treatment

Disclosed are methods of using dsquare planar metal complexes containing tridentate &#x3c0;-conjugated ligands and ancillary ligand of N-heterocyclic carbene or di-phosphine ligand to target mismatched DNA. Targeting of mismatched DNA can be revealed by monitoring the differences in emission enhancement of metal complexes toward mismatched DNA and matched DNA; or the gradually heat release from isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) when complexes bind toward mismatch DNA; or the significant increase in melting temperature of the mismatched DNA after adding complexes.

Platinum complexes for blue OLED application

The current invention relates to novel platinum(II) based organometallic materials. These materials show high emission quantum efficiencies and low self-quenching constant. Also provided are high efficiency, green to orange emitting organic light-emitting diode (OLED) that are fabricated using platinum(II) based organometallic materials as the light-emitting material. The organometallic materials of the invention are soluble in common solvents; therefore, solution process methods such as spin coating and printing can be used for device fabrication.
