A directional curved antenna, comprising: a feed network; a curved ground plane; at least two radiating elements connected to the feed network above the curved ground plane, wherein the at least two radiating elements are arranged and configured such that the directional curved antenna provides a directional radiation.

Directional curved antenna

An antenna for a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) transponder, including: an inductive loop with terminals for connection with an RFID chip; and an electromagnetically resonant structure positioned in a same plane as the inductive loop; wherein a resonant frequency of the resonant structure corresponds to a designed operating frequency in a frequency band of the RFID transponder; and wherein the electromagnetically resonant structure is electrically and physically separated from the inductive loop and capacitively coupled to the inductive loop; and the electromagnetically resonant structure includes one or more electrical discontinuities within the electromagnetically resonant structure; wherein the antenna is adapted and configured to have a non-omni directional radiation pattern and with an input impedance substantially conjugate matches an input impedance of the RFID chip at the designed operating frequency.

RFID transponder antenna

A system and method for an antenna including two or more radiation elements on a side of a substrate; a ground plane on an opposite side of the substrate; and a feeding network including a plurality of branch feeding elements. Each of the radiation elements has one or more feeding ports such that each of the plurality of branch feeding element is connected to a feeding port of a respective one of the radiation elements.

Antenna for use in electronic communication systems

A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) inlay, the inlay comprising: a first RFID transponder with a first antenna, based on a first RFID protocol; a second RFID transponder with a second antenna, based on a second RFID protocol; and a conductive isolation structure; wherein the conductive isolation structure is arranged and configured such that the conductive isolation structure reduces a mutual coupling between the two closely spaced antennas, first antenna and the second antenna, and therefore enhancing the read range performance of both RFID transponders.

Multiple RFID transponders on a single inlay

An antenna design comprises a patch that may be rectangular, circular, triangular or any other geometric shape and which is disposed by a dielectric a distance above a ground plane. The patch is driven by an L-shaped probe disposed between the patch and the ground plane. The probe has a first portion normal to both the patch and the ground plane, and a second portion parallel to the patch and the ground plane. The lengths of the two portions are selected so that the inductive reactance of the first portion is cancelled by the capacitive reactance of the second portion. In alternative embodiments a plurality of such patch antennas may be connected together via a single transmission network to form an antenna array.
