A sheet feeding mechanism having a pickup roller, a switch device, and a gear set is disclosed. The pickup roller drives a recording material to a first path, and the recording material proceeds from the first path to a second path or from a third path to a fourth path when the switch device is switched to a first position, and proceeds from the first path to the third path when the switch device is switched to a second position. The gear set drives the recording material from the first path to the third path when the switch device is switched to the second position and drives the recording material from the first path to the second path, from the third path to the fourth path, and from the fourth path to the first path when the switch device is switched to the first position.

An office automation apparatus with calibration and positioning device includes a body with an optical module, an automatic document feeder (ADF) arranged at the body and a home pattern having both positioning and calibrating functions and placed below the automatic document feeder and having a first marking for color calibration of the office automation apparatus and a second marking for positioning the optical module to a home location. The home pattern can provide both calibration and positioning functions for saving space and cost.

A modified control panel used in office machines, which is disposed on an unfoldable upper cover or an automatic document feeder attached on the upper cover without the need of an extra projective portion for disposition of the control panel. Therefore, the machine volume can be effectively shrunk to meet the requirement of miniaturization without affecting operational convenience, thereby reducing material cost and packaging and transportation cost to enhance the competitive capacity of product. The office machine includes a main body, an unfoldable upper cover connected at the main body, and a control panel disposed at the upper cover.

A phase rotary disk motor switching module employs anchor notches located on the peripheral rim of a rotary disk mounted on a motor to couple with a retaining element to enable the rotary disk to rotate in only one direction and define a plurality of phases for the rotary disk. Every phase has a driven gear coupled with the motor for transmitting output power. Motor power may be switched to a plurality of phases of output positions to maximize utilization of a single motor.
