An object detection system and an object detection method are provided. The object detection system includes a transmitter, a receiver, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to: control the transmitter to transmit by a predetermined field pattern multiple detection signals in different time frames along a main beam direction; control the receiver to receive multiple reflection signals; correspondingly calculate multiple received powers, distances and velocities; perform a clustering process on the distances and the velocities to find the received powers, the distances and the velocities corresponding to a main target; perform an association process to track the distances and the received powers of the main target in the different time frames; and calculate a power and a distance trend of the main target, and determine whether an early alarm event is to occur according to a relationship between the power and the distance trend.

Object detection system and object detection method

A detection system and a detection method are provided. The detection method includes configuring a processing circuit to perform an initialization phase, which includes: executing a detection process to respectively accumulate numbers of times that objects are detected to be present in sub-areas, so as to generate initial count values; and configuring the processing circuit to perform a normal operation phase, which includes: executing the detection process to respectively accumulate numbers of times that the objects are detected to be present in the sub-areas, so as to generate current count values corresponding to the sub-areas; and comparing the current count value with the initial count value in a current sub-area of the sub-areas. In response to the current count value being greater than the initial count value plus a first count threshold, a new stationary object is determined to be present in the current sub-area.

Detection system and detection method

An angle estimating method applied in a radar system. The radar system includes a first antenna array including M antennas. The angle estimating method includes steps of obtaining a plurality of beamforming weighting vectors; receiving signal from M antennas and forming a received vector; performing an augment operation on the received vector and obtaining an augmented received vector; computing correlation between the augmented received vector and the plurality of beamforming weighting vectors and obtaining a plurality of results accordingly; and determining an angle-of-arrival of an object according to the plurality of results.

Angle estimating method and radar system

An angle estimating method applied in a radar system includes receiving a first signal and a second signal reflected from a target object via a first antenna and a second antenna; obtaining a first phase difference and at least one virtual phase difference, where the first phase difference is a phase difference between the first antenna and the second antenna; and obtaining a direction of arrival (DOA) of the target object according to the first phase difference and the at least one virtual phase difference.

A pre-warning method utilized in a vehicle radar system includes a first and a second millimeter-wave detection modules detecting dynamic information of a plurality of first targets and a plurality of second targets corresponding to the vehicle radar system in different dimensions of an area and obtaining a first and a second detection results, determining whether there are identical targets within the plurality of first targets and the plurality of second targets according to the first and the second detection results, determining 3-D dynamic information of at least an identical target after determining that the plurality of first targets and the plurality of second targets include the at least an identical target, and determining whether to trigger an alarm signal according to the 3-D dynamic information of the at least an identical target.

Pre-warning method and vehicle radar system

An alarm system for a vehicle comprises a sensor disposed on an installation plane of the vehicle, configured to emit a plurality of frequency-modulated continuous waveform (FMCW) signals toward a reverse plane of the installation plane and receiving reflected signals of the plurality of FMCW signals, to detect information of a plurality of targets within a specified range corresponding to the vehicle; an alarm being controlled to generate an alarm signal; and a control module coupled to the sensor and the alarm, capable of receiving the information of the plurality of targets detected by the sensor; determining a vehicle information of the vehicle in relation to an external environment according to the information of the plurality of targets; and determining movement statuses of the plurality of targets in relation to the vehicle according to the vehicle information and the information of the plurality of targets, and accordingly controlling the alarm.

Alarm system and method for vehicle

A pre-warning method utilized in a vehicle radar system is disclosed. The vehicle radar system includes a frequency-modulation continuous wave (FMCW) module, a data transceiver module and an antenna module, and the FMCW module and the data transceiver module share the antenna module. The pre-warning method includes the FMCW module utilizing the antenna to transmit and receive beat signals to detect dynamic information of a target corresponding to the vehicle radar system and obtain a first detection result, and receiving and broadcasting data to broadcast the first detection result via the data transceiver module and the antenna module, or receive a detection result broadcasted by another vehicle radar system and combine the detection result with the first detection result to perform real-time target tracking and alarm.

A signal processing method for a frequency-modulated continuous waveform (FMCW) radar system includes receiving a plurality of feedback signals from a plurality of targets and performing analog to digital conversion on the plurality of feedback signals to obtain a digital receiving signal corresponding to the plurality of feedback signals, performing a window function on the digital receiving signal to obtain a window transformation signal corresponding to the digital receiving signal, performing time-domain to frequency-domain conversion on the window transformation signal to obtain a spectrum signal of the window transformation signal, performing two beat frequency detections on the spectrum signal, and determining distances and speeds of the plurality of targets in comparison to the FMCW radar system according to results of the two beat frequency detections.

Signal processing method and device for frequency-modulated continuous waveform radar system

A signal generating method for a radar system includes generating a first chirp signal and a second chirp signal having a first time delay relative to the first chirp signal; and combining the first chirp signal and the second chirp signal to determine a frequency modulated signal, wherein the first chirp signal and the second chirp signal are N-step linear stepped frequency modulated continuous waves having the same frequency modulation bandwidth, such that the frequency modulated signal includes i steps of the first chirp signal in a first duration, an interleaved combination of N&#x2212;i steps of the first chirp signal and N&#x2212;i steps of the second chirp signal in a second duration, and i steps of the second chirp signal in a third duration.
