A device, method and system for detecting objects of interest using soundscaped signatures is provided. A device identifies, using first video or first audio from a first camera, an object of interest (OOI) and a sound type of a sound made by the OOI, and extracts a sound signature of the OOI from the first audio, using the sound type and a first soundscaping prediction model for a first environment of the first camera; generating a soundscaped signature of the OOI which predicts a modification of the sound signature in a second environment of a second camera, the soundscaped signature generated by inputting the sound signature and the sound type into a second soundscaping prediction model for the second environment. The device detects the soundscaped signature of the OOI in second audio from the second camera, and generates a notification that the OOI was detected at the second camera location.

Device, method and system for detecting objects of interest using soundscaped signatures

A mobile communication system that includes a short-range communication device, a mobile communication device, and a vehicle-based communication device configured to communicate with the short-range communication device. The system includes a sensor configured to generate sensor data and an electronic processor connected to the sensor and configured to receive sensor data that is associated with a scene external to a vehicle, detect an object based on the received sensor data, determine a parameter associated with the object based on the received sensor data and determine a communication interference value associated with the object based on the determined parameter. The electronic processor is also configured to pre-establish communication between the short-range communication device and the mobile communication device in response to determining that the communication interference value exceeds a pre-defined interference threshold.

The voice instruction may request the virtual assistant to perform a command. The command that is most likely being requested by the voice instruction from the user is identified. An ordered set of actions to execute when performing the command may be retrieved. Each action of the ordered set of actions may indicate if the action is reversible. Each action of the ordered set of actions may be executed in order until a not reversible action is reached or no further actions are in the ordered set of actions.

A recognition device and method for recognizing a target. The recognition device includes a sensor and an electronic processor. The electronic processor configured to receive the characteristic from the sensor. The electronic processor identifies a profile based on the characteristic and compares the profile to a plurality of predetermined profiles to determine an identity profile. The electronic processor identifies the target based on the identity profile and determines, based on at least one selected from the group consisting of a location of the target, speed of the target, and a direction of movement of the target, a virtual geographic boundary. The electronic processor causes a transmission of the at least one selected from the group consisting of the identity profile and the characteristic to at least one associated device located in the virtual geographic boundary.

A device and method for electronically deploying responders is provided. The device includes a communication interface and a controller having access to a map database. The controller is configured to: receive, via the communication interface, a location of an incident; identify respective locations of at least two communication devices associated with respective responders; select, using the map database, different respective routes from the respective locations to the location for each of the at least two communication devices, the different respective routes selected to reduce duplication therebetween; and provide the different respective routes to each of the at least two communication devices.
