Disclosed is a textile product and a method for making that product for a shirt or blouse interlining formed of a bonded base material having bonded thereon a fleece of adhesive fibers. A plurality of adhesive dots are applied on that surface of the fleece opposite to the surface bonded to the base material. The dots are substantially in a singular planar arrangement and, at least some of the dots, are separated from the base material by the fleece. The interlining can be fused to a shirt fabric such, as a broadcloth, to provide a good and smooth surface appearance. With the product of the invention, the smooth surface appearance is retained even after washing.

Disclosed is a composite adhesive web and a process for the production of such a web. The thermally adhesive web of the invention is comprised of a composite of randomly arranged thermoplastic filaments or, parallel thermoplastic filaments interconnected by randomly arranged thermoplastic fibers or filaments, and a fibrous thermal adhesive nonwoven sheet containing thermoplastic fibers, preferably low melting thermally adhesive fibers.

Composite adhesive webs and their production

Disclosed is a nonwoven fabric which is a nonspunbonded fabric and has a surface free of standing fibers and a method for making the same. The fabric is useful as a support for case on coatings to form a composite for TFC membrane filters. The fabric is formed of a first layer having binder fiber and matrix fiber. A second layer of 100 percent binder fiber is cast thereon. The binder fiber has a softening point lower than the melting point of the matrix fiber. The first and second layers are bonded by heat and pressure to form the fabric.

Polyester heat bonded product

In the formation of an envelope or jacket for a disc, comprising laminating a nonwoven fabric to a plastic sheet, superposing two such laminates with the nonwoven fabrics facing each other, and joining such superposed laminates along all edges but one, thereby to form an envelope, the improvement which comprises effecting the laminating by providing a fusible layer between the nonwoven fabric and plastic sheet and heating to soften the fusible layer while pressing to join the nonwoven fabric to the plastic. The low melting fusible layer eliminates the tendency, in its absence, to pull particles of the jacket plastic through the nonwoven liner layer where it could damage the object to be encased in the envelope. Advantageously the fusible layer is a spray spun low melting polyester which, in addition to polyvinylchloride, is bondable to polycarbonate.
