The present disclosure provides advantageous systems/methods for the design and use of patching systems having one or more bracket members (e.g., Z-shaped bracket members) configured to facilitate cable management. In exemplary embodiments, the bracket members allow a panel assembly to move relative to the bracket members for cable management purposes. The improved systems/assemblies of the present disclosure provide users with the ability to install multiple media connections (e.g., copper-based and/or fiber optic connections) in the same patching system/enclosure.

Bracket assembly for media patching system

Improved media patching systems and related methods of use are provided. The present disclosure provides improved systems/methods for the design and use of patching systems configured to support multiple media connections (e.g., high density, mixed media connections). The present disclosure provides advantageous systems/methods for the design and use of patching systems having one or more bracket members (e.g., Z-shaped bracket members) configured to facilitate cable management. In exemplary embodiments, the bracket members allow a panel assembly to move relative to the bracket members for cable management purposes. The improved systems/assemblies of the present disclosure provide users with the ability to install multiple media connections (e.g., copper-based and/or fiber optic connections) in the same patching system/enclosure.

Media patching system

Cable assemblies, methods and systems are provided that generally include a first patch cord, a second patch cord and a third patch cord that are removably positioned within a housing for packaging and payout thereof. The first patch cord includes a first elongated cord and a first connector mounted with respect to one end of the first elongated cord. The second patch cord generally includes a second elongated cord and a second connector mounted with respect to one end of the second elongated cord. The third patch cord generally includes a third elongated cord and a third connector mounted with respect to one end of the third elongated cord. The patch cord assemblies generally include a first coupler element for detachably securing the first patch cord relative to the second patch cord. A second coupler element is provided for detachably securing the second patch cord relative to the third patch cord.

Cable assemblies and associated systems and methods

A patch cord assembly is provided for detachably securing a first patch cord relative to a second patch cord, defined by a first patch cord that includes a first elongated cord and a first plug mounted with respect to one end of said first elongated cord, and a second patch cord that includes a second elongated cord and a second plug mounted with respect to one end of said second elongated cord. A method of patch cord assembly is provided for detachably securing a first patch cord relative to a second patch cord. A system of patch cord assembly packaging and payout is provided including a housing for packaging a patch cord assembly and at least one housing opening for paying out the at least first patch cord.

Patch cord assemblies, methods and systems

Advantageous breakout assemblies and associated mounting members for use in fiber optic applications are provided. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for improved fiber optic breakout assemblies and associated mounting members (e.g., mounting panels) that include mating features. The present disclosure provides for improved systems/designs for breakout assemblies and mounting members for use in fiber optic applications, and wherein the breakout assemblies and mounting members are cost-effective, efficient and/or user-friendly. Improved, convenient, low-cost and effective systems, assemblies and methods are provided for easily breaking/branching out one or more fiber optic cables/fibers from a bundle or harness containing a plurality of fiber optic cables/fibers by utilizing advantageous breakout assemblies and mounting members that include mating features, and related assemblies.

Breakout assemblies and associated mounting members for fiber optic applications

Assemblies and methods are provided for facilitating copper-wire patching. More particularly, the assemblies and methods involve mounting patch ports arranged along a horizontal plane (horizontally-aligned) with respect to a tray. The tray is movably mounted with respect to a cabinet enclosure, e.g., via a pivotal or translational (sliding) relationship, thereby providing easy access to the ports. The horizontally-aligned configuration advantageously increases patching density within a cabinet structure while maintaining port accessibility.

Mounting panel, system and method for high density fiber optic applications

Assemblies and methods are provided for facilitating fiber optic patching. More particularly, the assemblies and methods generally involve mounting fiber optic patch ports arranged along a horizontal plane with respect to a tray. The tray is movably positioned within a cabinet enclosure, e.g., in a pivotal or translational (sliding) relationship, thereby providing easy access to the ports. The horizontal configuration advantageously increases fiber optic patching density within a cabinet structure while maintaining port accessibility.

Horizontal fiber optic patching assembly

Systems and methods for securing a keyed fiber optic network assembly are provided. A typical network system includes an assembly having a security feature and adapted to facilitate fiber optic communication between two mating fiber optic connectors. The security feature is uniquely keyed to disengaged when mated with a corresponding uniquely keyed connector. The security feature includes at least an inner door and a spring and is adapted to prevent optical communication and mating with a receiving connector during illegitimate connector insertion. A typical network includes a plurality of assemblies each having a uniquely keyed security feature. Each of the plurality of assemblies is color coded to match with a legitimate color coded connector to provide guidance to a network user. The connector and the security feature are uniquely keyed through unique positioning of protruding bosses.

Secure fiber optic network keyed connector assembly

Hinge mechanisms that facilitates access to internal components associated with a cabinet, e.g., a fiber optic cabinet, are provided. The hinge mechanisms are adapted for use with a telecommunication cabinet that is of low profile design, e.g., 1U or 2U height. The hinge mechanisms accommodate a combination of motions, e.g., a sliding motion and a hinging motion, whereby the limited space associated with a low profile cabinet is overcome and access to internal componentry, e.g., patch panels, is facilitated. A pair of hinge mechanisms are provided with a door. The hinge mechanisms mount outward of the cabinet so as to permit the door to be pivoted downward without engagement between with another cabinet or other structure positioned therebelow. A U-shaped member may be mounted to the door and sliding pins to translate motion from the hinge mechanisms to the door.
