A shaving system of the wet shave type includes support structure and blade structure secured to the support structure. The blade structure has an aperture with an annular sharpened shaving edge that is defined by main facet portions that converge at an angle of less than 40.degree., and supplemental facet portions that are extensions of the main facet portions and converge at an included angle of less than 60.degree. to define an annular ultimate tip portion. The annular ultimate tip of the sharpened edge defines a shaving plane and the bisector of the included angle defined by the supplemental facets is disposed at an angle (shaving angle) in the range of 15.degree.-35.degree. to the shaving plane.

Shaving system

A shaving system of the wet shave type includes support structure and blade structure secured to the support structure. The blade structure has an aperture with an annular sharpened shaving edge that is defined by main facet portions that converge at an angle of less than 40.degree. and supplemental facet portions that are extensions of the main facet portions and converge at an included angle of less than 60.degree. to define an annular ultimate tip portion. The annular ultimate tip of the sharpened edge defines a shaving plane and the bisector of the included angle defined by the supplemental facets is disposed at an angle (shaving angle) in the range of 15.degree.-35.degree. to the shaving plane.

A shaving system includes body structure with guide structure and blade structure carried by the body structure. The blade structure has a cutting edge extending along the length of the body structure. A movable guard member of sheet material is carried by the body structure forwardly of the cutting edge of the blade structure and has a vertically extending rear wall portion, a sloped surface portion that extends forwardly in cantilever relation from the rear wall portion and that includes skin-tensioning surface structure, and integral guide portions disposed in the guide structure. The movable guard member is biased for dynamic movement as guided by the guide structure in the course of a shaving stroke.

Razor blade cartridge

A shaving system of the wet shave type includes body structure with guard surface structure at a front portion thereof and opposed portions forming a gap at a rear portion thereof. Blade structure is carried by the body structure rearwardly of the guard surface structure and forwardly of the gap and has a cutting edge extending along the length of the body structure. A shaving aid member is carried on the support structure behind the blade structure, the shaving aid member having a dispensing head portion with a skin-engaging surface, a narrow neck region within the gap, and a retaining portion on the side of the narrow neck region opposite the head portion. The retaining portion has a larger dimension than the width of the gap, and the dispensing head portion is at least twice in cross-sectional area as large as the retaining portion.

A shaving system of the wet shave type includes body structure with blade structure that has a cutting edge. A housing assembly carried by the body structure adjacent the blade structure includes surface structure disposed for skin-engagement adjacent of the cutting edge, structure that defines an elongated apertured chamber extending generally parallel to the cutting edge of the blade structure, and a member of shaving aid material disposed in the housing chamber. The housing assembly also includes guide portions disposed in cooperating relation with guide structure of the body structure for dynamic guided movement of the housing assembly against the biasing structure during shaving. The housing structure apertures communicate with the shaving aid material in the chamber structure and enable shaving aid material to be released and applied through the apertures to the shaver's skin surface during the course of shaving.

A razor having a base member, spring fingers extending from the base member, a plurality of razor blades, each of the razor blades having a generally tubular wall defining a central aperture, each of the razor blades having an integrally formed flange on a first end of the tubular wall, a free edge of each of the flanges comprising an annular cutting edge, a second end of the tubular wall having therein a plurality of the spring fingers extending into the aperture, such that the spring fingers within the tubular walls permit multi-directional movement of the razor blades responsive to pressures encountered during shaving operations.

Razor

The present disclosure is directed to a plurality of individual protective safety razor head unit open top casings and a tray for storing the plurality of casings in side-by-side relationships. Each of the casings are adapted to retain a single safety razor cartridge unit therein, each of which have at least one blade and a head cartridge member to which the blade is permanently secured and which also provides a guard surface. The head unit is detachably engageable with a safety razor handle. Each casing defines a single chamber in which a single shaving head unit is retained. The structure in each casing retains the head unit therein against accidental removal in such a manner that the cutting edge of the blade is protected against damage and wherein the head unit is engageable by the handle while the head unit is still within the casing. Each head unit when engaged with the handle is withdrawable from its casing by means of rocking the handle. The tray comprises slide means securing structure to secure each individual casing in the tray in a side-by-side relationship, and the tray and slide means are so configured as to permit each of the casings to be slid endwise out of the tray by the handle engaged with the razor head such that with the handle engaged with the head an operator may remove the blade unit from the casing or may alternatively slidably remove the blade unit and casing from the tray.

Razor blade assembly

A shaving unit comprises at least one blade and blade support structure that has external guard and cap surfaces for engaging the user's skin respectively ahead and rearwardly of the blade edge or edges. A shaving aid member of extrusion-oriented polymeric material that includes an effective amount of a water-leachable shaving aid composition is permanently and substantially immovably affixed to the support structure with an upper surface protruding above one of the external skin engaging surfaces adjacent the cutting edge of the blade.

Shaving unit

A razor blade assembly comprising a blade disposed between skin engaging elements adapted in operation to engage a surface being shaved ahead and behind, respectively, of the blade, one of the skin-engaging elements being provided with a water leachable shaving aid, the blade being movable relative to the elements in response to forces encountered during a shaving operation, the blade assembly having pivot mountings thereon for pivotal attachment to a razor handle, whereby the blade assembly, as a whole, may be pivotally movable on a handle in response to forces encountered during the shaving operation.

A safety razor including a blade assembly and a handle assembly, the blade assembly including a blade having a cutting edge disposed between skin engaging elements adapted in operation to engage a surface being shaved ahead and behind, respectively, of the cutting edge, the blade being movable relative to the elements in response to forces encountered during a shaving operation, the blade assembly being pivotally mounted on the handle assembly whereby the blade assembly, as a whole, is pivotally movable on the handle assembly in response to forces encountered during the shaving operation, one of the skin engaging elements being provided with a water leachable shaving aid.
