A cargo-neutral climate control diagnostic system for a climate controlled mobile container includes a controller configured and disposed to be connected to one or more climate control components. The controller is configured and disposed to identify a cargo-neutral test opportunity and conduct a test to determine an operational state of the one or more climate control components of the climate controlled mobile cargo container while maintaining a desired environment.

Cargo-neutral testing of container during mode transition

A liquid crystal display (LCD) unit and associated method for compensating for the effects of low temperatures. The LCD unit includes a heating panel disposed adjacent to the LCD panel. A temperature sensor measures the temperature of the LCD panel. A controller compares the measured temperature to a threshold temperature and one or more set points and operates the heating panel accordingly. Further, the controller is configured to control one or more contrast parameters in response to the comparison of the measured temperature to the one or more set points.

Liquid crystal display with temperature compensation

A current sensor is installed in a generator set to measure the current being delivered from the generator set to a refrigeration unit. A control is responsive to the current transformer to reduce the speed of the drive engine to a lower speed when the current being delivered to the refrigeration unit is determined to be below a predetermined higher level. Provision is made to override the system when the sensed current is determined to be transient caused or in the event that ambient temperature is determined to be above a predetermined temperature threshold.

Two speed control for mobile refrigeration generators

A generator set is provided with both a pin-on mount mechanism and a clamp-on mount mechanism for mounting the generator set to a container. Both the pin-on mount mechanism and the clamp-on mount mechanism are selectively positionable in either a deployed for use position or a stowed position. When the clamp-on mount mechanism is in the deployed for use position, the pin-on mount mechanism is positioned in a stowed position. When the pin-on mount mechanism is in the deployed for use position, the clamp-on mount mechanism is positioned in the stowed position.

Generator set with dual mounting capability

A counterweight is connected to a driving shaft through a lost motion connection. The shaft is received in a bearing relationship in a fixed member. An axially extending portion of the counterweight coacts with the fixed member to define a pair of chambers which radially vary such that the chambers taper convergingly in a circumferential direction corresponding to the normal direction of rotation of the shaft. Cylindrical pins are located in the chambers and provide a jamming relationship between the counterweight and the fixed member when said shaft tends to rotate in a reverse direction.

Reverse rotation preventing clutch

Rolling element bearings are located between the eccentric drive pin and the slider block of a scroll compressor. The rolling elements reduce static or boundary lubrication friction by an order of magnitude in providing rolling friction. As a result, movement of the orbiting scroll into and out of flank contact is facilitated and scroll separation takes place earlier in the shutdown process.
