Disclosed are aqueous emulsion copolymerization processes for synthesizing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene/vinylidene fluoride copolymers having 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene as the major monomer unit. The copolymerization process is performed at temperatures of from about 55&#xb0; C. to about 70&#xb0; C. with at least one water soluble radical initiator, with preferred initiators including NaSO, KSO, (NH)SO, Fe(SO), KSO/FeSO, (NH)SO/FeO, and the like, as well as combinations thereof.

Synthesis of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene/vinylidene fluoride copolymers

Fumigant compositions including hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) and methods of preparing such compositions are provided. The fumigant compositions may be suitable for use as soil fumigant compositions and structural fumigant compositions against a variety of undesirable species such as weeds, nematodes, pathogens, animals and insects. The fumigant compositions also have low toxicity and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

A method and composition for transforming a latent physiological biometric into a visible physiological biometric are provided, the method comprising: providing a latent biometric disposed on a surface of an article, wherein said biometric comprises at least one eccrine-derived compound; contacting said latent biometric with a developing solution, wherein said developing solution comprises at least one imaging reagent selected from ninhydrin and 1,8-diazafluoren-9-one and a carrier solvent comprising at least one C-Chydrofluorocarbon; and reacting said imaging reagent with said eccrine-derived compound to produce a visible physiological biometric.
