A display device includes: a window including a bending area and a non-bending area; an adhesive layer including a first adhesive portion and a second adhesive portion, wherein the first adhesive portion overlaps the bending area, and the second adhesive portion overlaps the non-bending area; and a display module disposed on the adhesive layer, wherein the first adhesive portion is formed by curing a first resin including a first photoinitiator configured to have an initiation reaction induced by a first light, and the second adhesive portion is formed by curing a second resin including a second photoinitiator configured to have an initiation reaction induced by a second light or a thermal initiator, wherein the second light has a different central wavelength from that of the first light.

Display device and method for manufacturing the same

A display device may include a window, a display panel, and an adhesive resin layer. The window may include a front surface portion and a curved portion, which is extended from the front surface portion and is bent with a curvature. The display panel may be combined with the window, and may include a first region corresponding to the front surface portion and a second region corresponding to the curved portion. The adhesive resin layer may be interposed between the window and the display panel to fasten the display panel to a rear surface of the window. The adhesive resin layer may include a first attachment portion corresponding to the front surface portion and a second attachment portion corresponding to the curved portion, and a thickness of the second attachment portion may be different from a first thickness of the first attachment portion.

The display panel includes: a substrate, a display element layer on the substrate and overlapping the display region, a driving chip on the substrate and overlapping the non-display region, and an encapsulation member on the display element layer. The driving chip is configured to provide a driving signal to the display element layer. The first adhesion portion connects the window member to the encapsulation member. The second adhesion portion connects the window member to the substrate and encloses the driving chip, but does not overlap the driving chip.
