Disclosed is a display device. The display device achieves a slim bezel by forming a through hole at a bottom portion of a cover, and changing a connection structure of a sub-FPCB to be connected to a main FPCB such that the connection structure extends through the cover without extending along the outside of the cover. The display device achieves a reduction in the thickness of the display device and an enhancement in picture quality through change of an installation direction of an LED module constituted by a main FPCB and LED elements disposed at one surface of the main FPCB. The display device can reduce a space where a sensor unit is disposed in conventional cases by mounting the sensor unit on the LED module, and can realize an additional function such as skin care or sterilization in accordance with the kind of the sensor unit.

A method of driving a liquid crystal display device, which includes first and second substrates, gate lines on the first substrate, data lines crossing the gate lines to define pixel regions, a thin film transistor connected to each gate line and each data line, a common line between adjacent gate lines, a pixel electrode in each pixel region and overlapping the common line, and a common electrode on the second substrate, includes steps of sequentially applying scanning signals to the gate lines, applying data signals to the data lines to supply the pixel electrode with pixel voltage, applying a common voltage to the common electrode, and applying a storage capacitor voltage to the common line, wherein the pixel voltage and the storage capacitor voltage are alternating current (AC) voltages having positive and negative polarities alternately with respect to the common voltage.

Method of driving liquid crystal display device using alternating current voltages as storage capacitor voltage

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate each including an active area and a non-active area; a black matrix on the first substrate in the non-active area; a color filter layer on the black matrix; a common electrode on the color filter layer and black matrix; an array element on the second substrate in the active area; a plurality of signal lines and a common bridge line in the non-active area; a protective layer on the array element, signal lines and a common bridge line; a transparent pattern connected to the common bridge line and extending to a border region between the active and non-active areas; a seal pattern formed in an edge portion of the first and second substrates; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates.

Liquid crystal display device and method of fabricating the same

The present invention is related to an array substrate for use in an IPS-LCD device, which prevents disclination that may occur between common and pixel electrodes. The pixel electrode in a pixel region includes a plurality of pixel fingers and a pixel horizontal portion, and the common electrode in the pixel region includes a plurality of common fingers extending from a common line parallel with the pixel fingers. Each of the common fingers has a gentle slope outline at a portion where the common finger meets the pixel finger, wherein the common fingers do not meet the pixel horizontal portion in the pixel region.
