A washing machine is provided that is capable of efficiently draining condensed fluid discharged by a heat pump module. The washing machine may include a first cabinet, a tub installed in the first cabinet, a drum rotatably installed in the tub, a second cabinet detachably coupled to the first cabinet, a heat pump module mounted in the second cabinet so as to supply hot air into the drum, a condensed fluid drain pump that pumps condensed fluid generated by the heat pump module, and a condensed fluid drain hose, one end of which is connected to the condensed fluid drain pump and the other end of which is connected to the tub, to discharge the condensed fluid pumped by the condensed fluid drain pump to the inside of the tub.

Washing machine

A heat pump module and a drying apparatus having the same are provided. The heat pump module may include a housing, an evaporator provided in the housing that condenses humid air introduced into the housing via evaporation of a refrigerant, a condenser provided in the housing that heats the air having passed through the evaporator via condensation of the refrigerant, and at least one condensed water guide or remover provided in the housing that removes condensed water generated on a surface of the evaporator therefrom.

An exhaust gas heat exchanger for a cogeneration system is disclosed. In the exhaust gas heat exchanger, a heat exchanger cover is arranged around a heat exchanger body such that a primary heat medium passage, through which a heat medium passes, is defined between the heat exchanger cover and the heat exchanger body. In the heat exchanger body, a heat medium tube forming a secondary heat medium passage, through which the heat medium emerging from the primary heat medium passage passes, is arranged. Accordingly, the heat medium primarily absorbs heat from the exhaust gas while passing through the primary heat medium passage, and then secondarily absorbs heat from the exhaust gas while passing through the secondary heat medium passage. As a result, an enhancement in heat exchanging efficiency is achieved.

Exhaust gas heat exchanger for cogeneration system

A method for controlling a cogeneration system is disclosed. The control method determines whether or not the operation load or power load of an air conditioner corresponds to a load requiring driving of a generator, controls the generator to operate when it is determined that the operation load of the air conditioner corresponds to the generator driving load, controls the air conditioner to operate using electric power generated from the generator when the generator operates normally, and controls the air conditioner to operate using commercial electric power when the operation load of the air conditioner is not the generator driving load or when the generator operates abnormally. Accordingly, there are advantages in terms of economy and safety.

Method for controlling cogeneration system

A cogeneration system is disclosed. The cogeneration system includes a heat pump type air conditioner, a waste heat recoverer to recover waste heat of a drive source, a waste heat supplying heat exchanger, which is heated by the waste heat recovered by the waste heat recoverer, and a bypassing unit, which causes the waste heat supplying heat exchanger to function as an evaporator during a heating operation of the heat pump type air conditioner. In accordance with this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the heating capacity of the heat pump type air conditioner irrespective of outdoor temperature, to prevent damage of compressors, and to minimize power consumption.

Disclosed is a heat exchanger including a plurality of tubes through which refrigerants flow, the tubes being spaced away from each other, and a plurality of fins through which the tubes are perpendicularly inserted, the fins being spaced away from each other at a predetermined distance, each of the fin having more than four peak portions and more than four valley portions that are alternately disposed. Heights or depths of at least two peak portions or at least two valley portions being different from each other.

Disclosed is a heat exchanger including: a plurality of tubes through which refrigerants flow, the tubes being spaced away from one another; and a fin through which the tubes are perpendicularly inserted, and having a fin collar for supporting the inserted tube, a seat for supporting an outer circumference of a lower end of the fin collar, and three or more peak portions and three or more valley portions that are alternately disposed at an area defined between the tubes to cause air flow to vary at an area defined between the fin collar, heights of at least two peak portions or depths of at least two valley portions being different from each other.

A cogeneration system including a pre-heater to pre-heat outdoor air blown toward the outdoor heat exchanger during a heating operation of a heat pump type air conditioner, an auxiliary evaporator to evaporate a refrigerant emerging from the outdoor heat exchanger during the heating operation of the heat pump type air conditioner, and waste heat recovering means to transfer waste heat of the engine to at least one of the pre-heater and the auxiliary evaporator. The cogeneration system exhibits a high energy efficiency.
