A viewing angle switchable display device can include a display panel including first, second, and third sub-pixels, each of the first, second, and third sub-pixels having a first emission area and a second emission area spaced apart from the first emission area; and a lens layer disposed over the display panel and including a first type of lens corresponding to the first emission area and a second type of lens corresponding to the second emission area, in which the first type of lens has a different shape than the second type of lens. Also, the display panel is configured to display an image according to a wide view mode via the first emission area and the first type of lens, and display the image according to a narrow view mode via the second emission area and the second type of lens.

Array substrate for fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device and method for fabricating the same

Discussed are a color filter using a surface plasmon and a liquid crystal display (LCD) device, the color filter capable of enhancing a transmittance ratio of an LC panel by having a 3D pattern structure of a transmissive pattern for selectively transmitting light of a specific wavelength, and capable of simplifying entire processes. According to the color filter using a surface plasmon and the LCD device, not only three colors of RGB but also multi-colors can be implemented, and color reproduction can be enhanced by optimizing arrangement of the transmissive pattern according to the number of colors to be implemented.

A stereoscopic image display device and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed, in which switching between a two-dimensional image and a three-dimensional image is performed using an electro wettable material depending on whether a voltage is applied. The stereoscopic image display device comprises a display panel; a first electrode formed on one surface of the display panel; a wall formed to divide a plurality of lens areas at the boundary of the respective lens areas on the first electrode; an electro-wettable material included in the wall; a first substrate formed on the wall to face the display panel; and a second electrode formed at the center of each wall on the first substrate.

Stereoscopic image display device and method for manufacturing the same

Discussed are an FFS mode LCD device capable of enhancing a transmittance ratio by including a color filter of a three-dimensional pattern structure having a transmissive pattern for selectively transmitting light of a specific wavelength by using a surface plasmon phenomenon, and a method for fabricating the same. The metal layer using a surface plasmon is utilized as a common electrode of the array substrate, and the pixel electrode having slits is formed on the metal film, thereby generating a fringe field. This may simplify the entire processes, and remove color filter processing lines, thereby reducing the installation costs.
