In a biomimetic artificial muscle module, a biomimetic artificial muscle assembly having the biomimetic artificial muscle module, and a method of controlling the biomimetic artificial muscle module, the biomimetic artificial muscle module includes an operating part, an elastic part, a driving part, a locking part and first and second sensors. The operating part contracts or relaxes along a longitudinal direction. The elastic part is connected to a first end of the operating part, and behaves elastically behave according to an external force. The driving part is connected to a second end of the operating part, and drives the operating part to be contracted or relaxed. The locking part selectively blocks a length of the operating part from being changed. The first and second sensors respectively sense the elastic part and the operating part.

Biomimetic artificial muscle module, biomimetic artificial muscle assembly having the same, and method of controlling the same

In a driving device of an artificial muscle module and a driving method thereof, the driving device includes a fluid tank unit, a fluid providing line, a fluid collecting line, a circulation pump unit, a temp control unit and a fluid distributing unit. The fluid providing line includes high temp and low temp water tanks. The fluid providing line connects a first side of the artificial muscle module to the fluid tank unit. The fluid collecting line connects a second side of the artificial muscle module to the fluid tank unit. The circulation pump unit is positioned at least one of the fluid providing line and the fluid collecting line. The temp control unit controls temperature of the fluid. The fluid distributing unit is positioned at the fluid collecting line, and distributes the fluid in the fluid collecting line.

A roller module includes a roller, a magnetic bearing, a permanent magnet, at least one pair of magnetic coring, and a plurality of gap sensors. The roller has a protrusion and has a cylindrical shape. The protrusion is formed at both outer surfaces of the roller with a stepped portion and has the cylindrical shape. The magnetic bearing is formed at the roller. The permanent magnet is formed at the roller. At least one pair of magnetic coring covers an outer circumference of the protrusion. The gap sensors are formed along an axial direction and a radial direction of the roller.

The present invention relates to a thrust magnetic bearing for bias compensation, and more particularly, to a thrust magnetic bearing for bias compensation in which annular permanent magnets and electromagnets are disposed to face each other with respect to a levitated member and the permanent magnets are formed to be asymmetrical in lengths thereof in an axial direction to thus exert an attractive force for compensating for a bias by the difference in the lengths of the permanent magnets in the axial direction to compensate for the bias, and a current supply for bias magnetic flux is not required, saving energy.
