Apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for beam management in multi-TRP scenarios are disclosed. An exemplary method generally includes receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration from at least one base station (BS) for one or more transmission hypotheses, wherein the CSI-RS resource configuration includes CSI-RS resources corresponding to at least a first downlink (DL) demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-port-group and a second DL DMRS-port-group, performing one or more CSI-RS measurements for the one or more transmission hypotheses based, at least in part on the CSI-RS resource configuration, and determining, for each of the one or more transmission hypotheses, a preferred reception beam for communicating with the at least one BS based, at least in part, on the one or more CSI-RS measurements.

A method of wireless communication by a base station includes receiving a channel state information (CSI) payload at a neural network CSI decoder. The method also includes decoding the CSI payload to generate a quantity (N) of precoding vectors for N transmission layers. The method further includes orthogonalizing the N precoding vectors to generate N orthogonal precoding vectors. The method still further includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), downlink data that is precoded in accordance with the N orthogonal precoding vectors.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) configured to receive a downlink in a network configured for full duplex communication. The UE receives from the network an indication of a maximum rank of an uplink from an interfering, aggressor UE. The UE measures interference of a signal from the aggressor UE, and based on the measurement, determines one or more rank values for the aggressor UE, less than or equal to the maximum rank. The UE may further determine one or more channel parameters for downlink transmissions the UE receives, corresponding to the determined rank values. The UE then transmits a channel state information (CSI) report that includes an indication of at least one of the one or more rank values for the aggressor UE. The CSI report may further include the determined channel parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may transmit a slot format indicator (SFI) to a first user equipment (UE) via downlink control information (DCI) and the first UE may use the SFI to determine time-domain resources over which the first UE may measure cross link interference (CLI) arising from a transmission from a second UE. The first UE may use the SFI as an index into a slot format combination table, which may also be used for uplink and downlink scheduling or may be exclusively used for determining the time-domain resources for CLI measurement. The first UE may determine a set of slot formats from a slot format table based on a slot format combination corresponding to the SFI index and may determine over which symbols the first UE may measure CLI based on the set of slot formats.

The method also includes identifying one or more first resource elements (REs) to be rate matched around at least in part based on a transmission numerology associated with the RMR configuration, wherein the one or more first REs are used for reference signal (RS) transmission in the serving cell or a neighboring cell. The method further includes mapping a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) to one or more second REs not including the first REs.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for precoder matrix quantization for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration for frequency domain compressed precoder matrix feedback. The CSI report configuration configures the UE to report, for a plurality of selected beams at a plurality of time domain taps, a frequency domain compression basis vector and a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression. For each of the beams, the UE groups the time domain taps into at least first and second groups. The groups each can have zero, one, or more than one time domain taps. The UE quantizes the corresponding linear combination coefficients and/or frequency domain compression basis vectors based on the grouping.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to multi-slot transmission time interval based channel state information (CSI) and uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) multiplexing. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message and determine, based at least in part on the DCI message, a schedule for multiplexing UL-SCH data and one or more components of uplink control information (UCI) in a plurality of slots on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The components may include a CSI report for a plurality of transmission reception points. The UE may multiplex the UL-SCH data and the one or more components into the plurality of slots based at least in part on the schedule. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Multi-slot transmission time interval based channel state information and uplink shared channel multiplexing

Wireless communications systems and methods related to multi-transmission-reception point (multi-TRP) precoding matrix indication (PMI) operations are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration indicating a precoder size parameter for a plurality of transmission-reception points (TRPs). The UE receives, from a first TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a first reference signal. The UE receives, from a second TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a second reference signal, the second TRP being different from first TRP. The UE transmits, to the first TRP or the second TRP, a channel state information (CSI) report including a first feedback component based on the first reference signal and a second feedback component based on the second reference signal, where a combined payload size of the first feedback component and the second feedback component is based on the precoder size parameter.

Overhead reduction for high-resolution multi-transmission-reception point (mult-TRP) precoding matrix indication (PMI)

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability report to a base station indicating a triggering offset. The base station may configure the UE with one or more channel state information (CSI) measurement resources and send downlink control information (DCI) that triggers an aperiodic CSI report for some of the CSI measurement resources. The UE may report CSI by measuring the CSI resources after the triggering offset. In some cases, CSI reporting related to the different codebook types (e. g., Type I, Type II) may be modified, where after identifying a type of codebook and determining which type of codebook to process (e. g., based on a number of CSI processing units), the UE may identify a priority associated with different CSI reports. The UE may be configured with various parameters that relax or modify the processing of Type II CSI reports.

Techniques for simplifying channel state information feedback

A method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) device, a joint transmission of channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RS) from a first transmission and reception point (TRP) associated with a wireless network and at least a second TRP associated with the wireless network. The method further includes determining a joint rank parameter associated with the joint transmission and accessing, based on the joint rank parameter, a rank-to-port mapping codebook to determine a port index parameter. The method further includes, after determining the port index parameter, communicating, by the UE device, with one or more of the first TRP or the second TRP. The frequency domain basis may be fed back in a CSI report from a user equipment (UE), with extra overhead and computation cost. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE configured to receive, from a base station, CSI reference signals (CSI-RS). The apparatus may be further configured to receive, from the base station, a configuration including a frequency domain basis restriction indicating a frequency domain basis subset, where the frequency domain basis subset is selected from a frequency domain basis set. The apparatus may be configured to prepare, upon receiving the frequency domain basis restriction, a CSI report based on the CSI-RS and the frequency domain basis subset. The apparatus may be further configured to transmit the CSI report to the base station.
