Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information (CSI) for multiple transmission reception point (mTRP) scenarios. The techniques may provide for dynamic interference measurement for mTRP CSI. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI reporting configuration configuring the UE with a plurality of CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources for channel measurement (CMRs) and a plurality of resources for interference measurement (IMRs). The method includes determining an indicator based on an association between one or more CMRs and one or more IMRs. A codepoint of the indicator is associated with an IMR or a set of IMRs by an order of the IMRs or the set of IMRs in the configuration, and is associated with a CMR, a CMR pair, or a part of the ports of a CMR. The method generally includes performing CSI measurement based on the association.

Dynamic interference measurement for multiple-TRP CSI

Channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources are disclosed with multiple transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. Example aspects of the present disclosure provide for indications that a given CSI-RS resource is associated with multiple TCI states within various configuration control signaling, depending on whether the CSI-RS is periodic, semi-persistent, or aperiodic. Additionally, where any trigger state corresponds to a CSI-RS resource set in which one or more CSI-RS resources are associated with multiple TCI states, one or more quasi-co-location (QCL) assumptions of the downlink transmission may also be applied by a user equipment (UE) to reception of the CSI-RS resources, where the scheduling offset is less than the threshold beam switch timing reported by the UE.

Channel state information-reference signal resources with multiple transmission configuration indication states

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a device may select antenna elements from a planar array to transmit or receive an orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam. The device may determine a first area (e.g., a first ring area) based on an angular direction over which the device can communicate an OAM beam with a second device and may determine a second area (e.g., a second ring area) on the planar array based on projecting the first area on the planar array. The device may select a set of antenna elements from the planar array that are located within the second area. The device may determine a complex-valued weight for each antenna element of the selected set of antenna elements and may transmit or receive an OAM beam to or from the second device via the set of antenna elements according to the angular direction.

Generating and steering orbital angular momentum beams

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reducing channel state information (CSI) feedback overhead sent from one or more user equipments (UEs) to a network entity, such as a base station (BS) or gNodeB (gNB), while ensuring correct mapping of the CSI feedback at the network entity. In some cases, the overhead reduction may be achieved by converting the CSI feedback to size-reduced and further quantized representative coefficients (e.g., for multiple UEs). The quantized coefficients allow the network entity to recover the CSI feedback by de-quantizing and correctly mapping the quantized coefficients to recover the CSI feedback.

Providing channel state information (CSI) feedback

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a channel state information (CSI) report configuration that includes configuration information associated with multiple CSI reports. In an example method for providing a positioning reference signal (PRS) to a bandwidth limited user equipment includes generating a PRS comprising a plurality of symbols occupying a frequency range in a first slot of a radio frame, the PRS including a first set of the plurality of symbols occupying a first portion of the frequency range, a second set of the plurality of symbols occupying a second portion of the frequency range, and transmitting the PRS to the bandwidth limited user equipment.

An example method of wireless communication by a UE includes receiving, from a base station, a report configuration message triggering a channel state feedback procedure, the UE and the base station operating in a multiple transmission and reception point (multiple-TRP) communication mode, the report configuration message requesting a multiple-TRP transmission value including at least one of a quantity of layer indicator (LI) values and a strongest TRP indicator (STI) value. The example method also includes generating channel state information (CSI) information based on the receiving of the report configuration message, the CSI information including the multiple-TRP transmission value. The example method also includes transmitting, to the base station, a report including the generated CSI information.

Resource pair groups for channel state information in multi-transmit receive point deployments

In some aspects, a UE may receive multiple CSI report configurations that include at least a first CSI report configuration and a second CSI report configuration that are associated with one or more CSI reference resources; determine a dependency between the first CSI report configuration and the second CSI report configuration; and calculate at least one of a first CSI for the first CSI report configuration or a second CSI for the second CSI report configuration based at least in part on an assumption of a joint transmission using the one or more CSI reference resources, wherein the assumption is based at least in part on the determination of the dependency. report at least one of the first CSI in a first CSI report or the second CSI in a second CSI report. Correlation of multiple channel state information reports for multi-layer communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently reporting channel state information (CSI) with limited overhead. In one aspect, if a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit data and CSI to a base station periodically, the UE may transmit the CSI when the UE has data to transmit to the base station. In particular, the UE may transmit data and a CSI report during a transmission opportunity if the UE has data to transmit in the transmission opportunity. Otherwise, the UE may suppress transmission of the CSI report. In another aspect, a UE may be configured to transmit CSI to a base station when downlink channel conditions change. In particular, the UE may request to report CSI to the base station when channel conditions change, and the base station may trigger the UE to report the CSI after receiving the request.
