A path for moving a mobile machine is planned by: determining a start map node in a map graph based on a start point in the path and a goal map node in the map graph based on a goal point in the path; determining whether the start map node and the goal map node correspond to the same submap; and if so, planning the path between the start point and the goal point using a real-time path planning method; otherwise, obtaining the path between the start point and the goal point by merging a node path between the start map node and the goal map node, a first real-time path between the start point and a first stop point, and a second real-time path between the goal point and a last stop point.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of multi-robot fleet control by a network device is provided. The method may include estimating a path to a final target for a robot. The method may include determining whether the robot will traverse a crossing region based on the path to the final target. The method may include, in response to determining that the robot will traverse the crossing region, updating a stop list for the robot to include a stop point for the crossing region. The method may include causing the robot to move to and stop at the stop point for the crossing region until any other robot in the multi-robot fleet arriving at the crossing region prior to the robot has cleared the crossing region. The method may include causing the robot to move to and stop at the emergency stop line during an emergency-operation mode.

A design method of serial manipulator that comprises an end effector, a number of random-access links, and a number of motors, includes: obtaining a desired motion profile of the end effector; discretizing the desired motion profile into a plurality of points, wherein each of the points carries information of speed, acceleration, and force/torque of the end effector at the point; determining the number of degrees of freedom of the serial manipulator, and initializing the length of each of the links and the motor type of each of the motors; and at each of the points, optimizing the initialized lengths of the links and the motor types of the motors by calculating a dynamic manipulability ellipsoid at the end effector, to obtain desired lengths of the links and desired motor types of the motors, which allows the end effector to execute the desired motion profile under predetermined constraints.

A mechanical arm includes a first link connectable to a surface, a second link, a third link, a fourth link, and a fifth link that are coupled to one another in series, and an end effector connectable to the fifth link. The end effector is rotatable about an axis of rotation same as an axis of rotation of the fourth link, and rotatable about an axis of rotation orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the fourth link. The first link, the second link, the third link, the fourth link, and the fifth link are collectively structured and configured to rotate such that the end effector is actuatable to a workspace under the surface.

A robotic assistant includes a wheeled base, a body positioned on the base, a foldable seat rotatably connected to the body, an actuator to rotate the foldable seat with respect to the body, and a control system that receives command instructions. In response to the command instructions, the control system is to control the actuator to rotate the foldable seat to a folded position or an unfolded position. The control system is further to detect whether an external force from a user has applied to the foldable seat, and release the actuator to allow the foldable seat to be manually rotated.

In response to the command instructions, the control system is configured to move the wheeled base, open or close the one or more drawers, actuate movement of the foldable arm and the EOAT to pick up and place external objects from/to a determined location, and control the storage unit to move up/down.

The two driven wheeled mechanisms each includes a damping mechanism, and each damping mechanism includes at least two dampers configured to absorb impact caused by an upward movement of the housing, and absorb impact caused by a downward movement of the housing.

A control system for a neck mechanism includes a perception system configured to track movement of an object, and a perception control system that controls a rotary motor to yaw a platform and controls a first linear actuator and a second linear actuator that is in parallel with the first linear actuator to pitch and roll the platform according to a target position of the platform. The perception system tracks movement of the object by estimating its position and pose in 3D space and the platform is moved according to a vision-based position and pose estimation result.

According to one aspect, an actuator of a robotic drawer is disclosed. The actuator may include a plurality of articulation components that form an articulated rack. The actuator may include a plurality of pins each coupled to an exterior of one of the plurality of articulation components. The actuator may include a transformer box coupled to a pinion and configured to move along an exterior of the articulated rack as the pinion moves along the surface. The transformer box may include a first guide configured to apply a first force to an arm of each of the pins as the transformer box moves in a first direction. The first force may cause the pin to rotate in a first rotational direction until the arm is fitted into a cam of the articulated rack such that adjacent articulation components are held in a fixed position, causing the articulated rack to extend.

The second of the phalanges has an engagement portion arranged around the axis of rotation, and the tendon is wrapped around a portion of the engagement portion to generate a force acting on the second end of the first of the phalanges, causing the first of the phalanges to rotate from a flexed state to an extended state.

A display stand includes a frame, an actuated rotary mechanism coupled to the frame, a counterweight coupled to the actuated rotary mechanism and movable in a vertical direction during rotation of the display about the axis of rotation, and an elevation mechanism. The actuated rotary mechanism includes a display holder that is configured to mount a display to the frame and rotate the display about an axis of rotation. The counterweight and the display are located at opposite sides of a vertical plane that passes through the axis of rotation such that a combined center of mass of the display, the display holder, and the counterweight lies on the vertical plane. The frame is coupled to the elevation mechanism, and the elevation mechanism is configured to move the frame up and down.
