The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and method for forming the same. In the LCD panel, the TFT includes a source and a drain formed by a transparent conducting layer, and a gate formed by a metal layer. The source is electrically connected with a data line through a via hole over the data line. The source connects to the drain via an active layer. Whatever the number of data lines are, each pixel corresponds to an associated via hole, so the number of via holes does not increase, and not reduce the aperture ratio. Therefore, the present invention is very proper to a design using more data lines and working in a high frequency. Moreover, the matrix circuitry of LCD of the present invention is well applied in a display which not only increases a density of data lines to raise the frame rate, but also maintains the aperture ratio and brightness.

LCD panel and method for forming the same

An LCD panel and method for forming the same are proposed. In the LCD panel, the TFT includes a source and a drain formed by a transparent conducting layer, and a gate formed by a metal layer. The source is electrically connected with a data line through a via hole over the data line. The source connects to the drain via an active layer. Whatever the number of data lines are, each pixel corresponds to an associated via hole, so the number of via holes does not increase, and not reduce the aperture ratio. Therefore, the present invention is proper to a design using more data lines and working in a high frequency. Moreover, the matrix circuitry of LCD is well applied in a display which not only increases a density of data lines to raise the frame rate, but also maintains the aperture ratio and brightness.

The present invention connects the first scan line of the (N+1)th set of scan lines to the second scan line of the first set of scan lines such that the vertical start pulse output signal of the first scan line of the (N+1)th set of scan lines serves as a vertical start pulse input signal of the second scan line of the first set of scan lines, and thereby turning on other second scan lines on the array substrate. The present invention can simplify the layout of the array substrate.

A liquid crystal display apparatus includes scan lines, data lines perpendicular to the scan lines, a first pixel, a second pixel adjacent to the first pixel, and a black matrix layer. The present invention provides a design of a bonding pad of a LCD panel and a flexible printed circuit (FPC). Each bonding pad is divided into three sections. Therefore, more bonding pads can be disposed on a high resolution panel without reducing total bonding width. Furthermore, the bonding pad with three sections, the FPC bonding pad and the panel bonding pad which are coupled with each other have different area so that misalignment is avoided in the process of bonding of the FPC and panel bonding pad. Besides that, a bonding area of each FPC bonding pad and panel bonding pad are substantially the same to assure resistance.

A first transistor comprises a gate coupled to a first scan line, a source coupled to a data line, and a drain coupled to the first storage capacitor. The second transistor comprises a gate coupled to a second scan line, a source coupled to the first storage capacitor, and a drain coupled to the second storage capacitor. A first polarity voltage applied on the data line is stored into the first storage capacitor during a first time period which the first transistor is turned on. The first storage capacitor discharges due to a connection between the first capacitor and the second capacitor during a second time period which the second transistor is turned on. By using such driving method, the difference in voltage between the liquid crystal capacitor and a common voltage is reduced from charge sharing for improving a color washout effect of the LCD panel.

The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: A: Treating a surface of an electrode of an LCD panel, the surface at least comprising a contact surface with an Au ball, to diminish the adhesion of an alignment liquid to the contact surface and prevent the alignment liquid from not coating the contact surface; and B: Coating or printing the alignment liquid. Because the electrode surface to which an Au ball particle will be applied (namely the transfer pad) is treated before the application to diminish the adhesion of the alignment liquid to this surface, and no alignment layer will be formed on the surface of the transfer pad. Therefore, the alignment layer can be very wide, the uniformity of the alignment layer at the edge is good, the accuracy is high, the display effect on the edge of the LCD panel is improved, and the frame of the LCD panel is narrowed.

The present invention discloses a rescue circuit of display panel and a rescue method thereof. The rescue circuit includes an amplifier, a first conductive line, a second conductive line, and a third conductive line. The amplifier has an input end and an output end. The first conductive line and the second conductive line intersect and are isolated from signal input terminals of the plurality of signal lines. The first conductive line is electrically connected to the input end and the second conductive line is electrically connected through an electrical resistor to the output end. The third conductive line intersects and is isolated from signal distal ends of the signal lines and is electrically connected to the output end. The rescue method includes performing a welding operation and performing a cutting operation. With such a rescue, a broken signal line may effectively overcome the problem of weak line with the electrical resistor connected to the second conductive line.
