A telescopic device () and a carrying robot (). The telescopic device () comprises: a loading base plate (), telescopic arm assemblies (), and a driving mechanism (). The telescopic arm assembly () comprises at least two which are provided opposite to each other in a width direction of the loading base plate (); each telescopic arm assembly () comprises a fixed arm () and a first sliding arm (), the fixed arm () is mounted at the loading base plate (), and the first sliding arm () is slidably provided at the inner side of the fixed arm (). The driving mechanism () is used for driving the first sliding arm () to slide with respect to the fixed arm () along a length direction of the loading base plate (). Because the telescopic device can achieve bi-directional extension and retraction, thereby improving carrying efficiency of the carrying robot.
