Provided are a system and a method for cardiovascular risk prediction, where artificial intelligence is utilized to perform segmentation on non-contrast or contrast medical images to identify precise regions of the heart, pericardium, and aorta of a subject, such that the adipose tissue volume and calcium score can be derived from the medical images to assist in cardiovascular risk prediction. Also provided is a computer readable medium for storing a computer executable code to implement the method.

System and method for cardiovascular risk prediction and computer readable medium thereof

A system and a method for recognition of an orchard on a geographic area are provided. The system includes a pre-processing module for deriving a target section of an aerial image containing a parcel of an orchard, an image optimization module for performing customized image processing on the target section of the aerial image, and a recognition module for determining a type and a border of the orchard present on the target section of the aerial image with a deep learning mechanism. Accordingly, farmers and agricultural entities can effectively monitor orchards within different geographic areas so as to yield better fruit production and conduct better fruit quality control and land utilization.

A microfluidic device includes a substrate, a microchannel, a plurality of spaced-apart pillars, and a porous nanofiber structure. The substrate has a substrate top surface. The microchannel is indented downwardly from the substrate top surface. The pillars are disposed in the microchannel. Each of the pillars has a pillar top surface that is lower in level than the substrate top surface. The porous nanofiber web structure is formed in the microchannel, and includes a first web portion residing in a space formed among the pillars.
