An absolute position readout apparatus includes an encoder device and a readout device. The readout device includes multiple first and second magnetic sensing components that correspond to an absolute track of the encoder device, and a third magnetic sensing component and a fourth magnetic sensing components that correspond to an incremental track of the encoder device. The third magnetic sensing component is configured to be spaced apart from the fourth magnetic sensing component by a specific distance, so as to prevent misreading of absolute position information from the first or second magnetic sensing components being at positions corresponding to boundaries between adjacent magnetized regions of the absolute track.

Absolute position readout apparatus

An absolute position detecting device and method are provided. The absolute position detecting device utilizes the incremental magnetization on a magnetic encoding ruler with two different pole widths, such that elliptical Lissajous curves may be obtained by magnetoresistive sensors. The absolute position may be obtained by determining the region of the signals on the ellipses read by the magnetoresistive sensors.

Absolute position detecting device and method

The present disclosure discloses an active compensating hydrostatic bearing which includes a body, a mass block and a elastic member. The body includes a compensation hole and holds the mass block and the elastic member inside. The elastic member is put between the mass block and the compensation hole for generating a compensation gap near the compensation hole. By resisting the compression from the mass block, the elastic member can control the compression of the compensating gap so as to stabilize the rigidity of the bearing.

Active compensating hydrostatic bearing and regulator

An active/self-sensing compensating hydrostatic bearing is disposed between first and second structures to allow relative movement between the first and second structures. The hydrostatic bearing includes a body and a compensator. The body, fixed to the first structure and separated from the second structure by a first gap, has a chamber and an input passage and an output passage both communicating with the chamber. The compensator is disposed in the chamber. A compensating passage, communicating with the input passage and the output passage, is formed between the body and the compensator. A pressurized fluid flows from the input passage to the output passage through the compensating passage, and the pressurized fluid in the output passage flows to the first gap to maintain the stability and the rigidity for the relative movement between the first and second structures. A hydrostatic bearing module using the hydrostatic bearing is also disclosed.

A microstructural polarized light-guide device comprises an unpolarized light source module, a subwavelength polarization beam splitter structure and a polarization conversion module, the unpolarized light source module comprises a light-guide plate and a light source at the edge of the light-guide plate, the material of the light-guide plate is PMMA with the characteristic of high transparency, the surface of the light-guide plate has a plurality of extraction patterns, the polarization beam splitter structure is a nano-scale structure and comprises a dielectric nanograting layer and a metallic nanograting layer, and the dielectric nanograting layer and the metallic nanograting layer are vertically stacked with each other, the dielectric nanograting layer is integrated with a surface opposite to the surface with the plurality of extraction patterns, the polarization conversion module is disposed on the surface with the plurality of extraction patterns of the light-guide plate.

Microstructural polarized light-guide device

An electronic apparatus with an active posture control function includes a body assembly, an accelerometer, a driving device and a controller. The body assembly includes a first body and a second body pivotally connected to the first body. The accelerometer mounted on the body assembly senses acceleration of the body assembly to output an acceleration signal. The driving device mounted on the body assembly drives at least one of the first body and the second body. The controller, mounted on the body assembly and electrically connected to the accelerometer and the driving device, receives the acceleration signal, judges whether the acceleration signal is higher than a predetermined level, and controls the driving device to adjust an included angle between the first body and the second body when the acceleration signal is higher than the predetermined level.

Electronic apparatus with active posture control function

A multistage sprocket assembly for a bicycle comprises at least one larger sprocket and at least one smaller sprocket, in which both side surfaces of the larger sprocket are trimmed off at the positions corresponding to two downshifting paths and two upshifting paths designed for a drive chain when being shifted from the smaller sprocket to the larger sprocket or vice versa. The trim portion is large and deep enough to avoid any interference between the link plates of the chain and the larger sprocket, and to receive therein the link plates of the chain so as to provide a positioning function thereat during the chain shifting process.

Integrated up-and downshifting configuration of a multistage sprocket

A multistage sprocket assembly for a bicycle with at least one large sprocket and one small sprocket disposed adjacent to each other and assembled in a relationship such that the distance between the escape point between a pair of adjacent teeth at the large sprocket and the engagement point between a pair of adjacent teeth at the small sprocket is small than an integer multiple of the chain pitch. A recess portion is formed at the side surface of the large sprocket facing the small sprocket to prevent interference between the side link plate of the chain with the side surface of the large sprocket when the chain is being shifted from the large sprocket to the small sprocket. The chain between the aforesaid escape point and engagement point is also supported by the recess portion and forms a nonlinear upshifting path as seen from an axial direction from the small sprocket to the large sprocket.

Multistage sprocket used in a bicycle rear derailleur system

A three-wheeled vehicle has an auxiliary steering system which is made up of a front frame, a rear frame, a bearing element, a gear set, and a transmission element. The gear set comprises a first gear and a second gear. The first gear is fastened with the front frame while the second gear is fastened rotatably with the rear frame such that the second gear is engageable directly or indirectly with the first gear. The front frame can be caused to swivel in relation to the rear frame by means of the second gear which is actuated by an angular motion of the front fork of the vehicle when the handlebar of the vehicle is turned. The transmission element serves to transmit the angular motion of the front fork to the second gear. The auxiliary steering system is therefore capable of causing the center of gravity of a rider of the vehicle in motion to move toward a direction in which the handlebar of the vehicle is turned, thereby causing the centrifugal force exerting on the vehicle rider to be canceled out.
