A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The display panel includes a substrate, an active element, a driving circuit element, a first connection circuit, a second connection circuit and a conductive connector. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The active element is disposed on the first surface. The driving circuit element is disposed on the second surface and is overlapped with the active element. The first connection circuit is disposed on the first surface and is connected to the active element. The second connection circuit is disposed on the second surface and is connected to the driving circuit element. The conductive connector penetrates through the substrate and two ends of the conductive connector are electrically connected to the first connection circuit and the second connection circuit, respectively.

Display panel and manufacturing method thereof

An electronic device including a body and a light source module is provided. The body has a side on which an unstable display is disposed and another side on which a bi-stable display is disposed. The light source module is arranged inside the body and configured to provide a light source to one or none of the unstable display and the bi-stable display.

A controlling method, adapted for an electronic device for coexistence of radio frequency identification (RFID) and display functions, is provided. The controlling method includes powering on a display of the electronic device and controlling the display to show a frame. Next, a RFID module of the electronic device is powered on to perform a wireless communication function of the RFID module. The controlling method of the invention efficiently controls the execution of the display and wireless communication functions, so as to prevent mutual interference.

Controlling method for coexistence of radio frequency identification and display

A display module is disclosed herein. The display module includes a substrate, an auxiliary display component, and an e-paper display component. The auxiliary display component is disposed on the substrate. The e-paper display component is disposed on the auxiliary display component. In a shutter mode, the e-paper display component is substantially transparent, such that an image displayed by the auxiliary display component can pass along the e-paper display component and can be presented on a viewing side of the display module.

An electronic book device integrated with a magnetic pen rack, including a leather cover, a rack, a magnetic pen, a LED light source module, and an electronic book. The rack, of rectangular outline and having an opening at one side, is fixed on the leather cover so as to form a rectangular space for accommodating the electronic book. The rack includes: at least one bolt, used for fixing the electronic book; a first groove, used for accommodating the magnetic pen, the first groove having a first metal contact part for electrically connecting the magnetic pen with the electronic book; and a second groove, used for accommodating the LED light source module, the second groove having a second metal contact part for electrically connecting the LED light source module with the electronic book.

A method of driving an electro-optic display includes the following steps. First, a first frame is displayed on pixels at a first time. Next, data of a second frame predetermined to be displayed on the pixels at a second time later than the first time is determined. Next, an eliminating frame showing a first extreme gray level or a second extreme gray level is displayed on the pixels at a third time. Afterwards, a medium frame is displayed on the pixels at a fourth time later than the third time. The third and fourth times are between the first and second times. The gray level shown by each pixel at the fourth time is close to the gray level predetermined to be shown by the same pixel at the second time. Thereafter, the second frame is displayed on the pixels at the second time.

Touch pen

A digital electronic apparatus includes a touch display panel, an active touch pen and a power shortage reminding module. The active touch pen is suitable for inputting signals to the touch display panel. The power shortage reminding module is disposed in one of the touch display panel and the active touch pen. The power shortage reminding module is suitable for monitoring a remaining power of the active touch pen and prompting the touch display panel to send out a reminding signal for charging the active touch pen, and therefore, the active touch pen can be timely charged, which prevents the power of the active touch pen be exhausted in use.

Digital electronic apparatus

An electrophoretic display includes a plurality of pixels. A display method applied to the electrophoretic display includes the following steps. Firstly, a first frame is displayed on the pixels at a first time. Next, a difference amount between the pixels at the first time and the pixels at a second time predetermined for displaying a second frame is calculated. The second time is later than the first time. Next, whether the difference amount is larger than a predetermined value is determined. Next, corresponding part of the second frame is displayed on part of the pixels corresponding to the difference amount at the second time if the difference amount is not larger than the predetermined value.

A portable electronic device includes a shell, a control circuit, a display panel and at least a bi-stability display module. The shell has an opening and an accommodating cavity in two different surfaces. The control circuit includes a first information transmission unit. The control circuit and the display panel are disposed in the shell. The display panel is electrically connected to the control circuit. The display panel has a display surface exposed from the opening. The bi-stability display module is detachably disposed in the accommodating cavity and selectively electrically connected to the control circuit. The bi-stability display module includes a second information transmission unit for communicating with the first information transmission unit and a bi-stability display for displaying the information received by the second information transmission unit. The bi-stability display module can display when the control circuit is closed. The power-consumption of the portable electronic device may be decreased.

A display method applied to an electrophoretic display having pixels includes steps as follows. Firstly, a first frame is displayed on the pixels at a first time. Then the difference between the pixels at the first time and those at a second time predetermined for displaying a second frame is determined and part of the pixels corresponding to the difference are divided into a first pixel group (pg) and a second pg. The first pg shows a first single-color at the first time and a second single-color at the second time and the color shown by the second pg is opposite to that shown by the first pixel group. Next, a medium image is displayed on the first pg at a third time between the first and the second times and shows the second single-color. Afterwards, corresponding part of the second frame is displayed on the second pg at the second time.
