A display device includes a plurality of transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes and a plurality of pixel units. The transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes are electrically isolated from each other in a first direction. Each of the pixel units includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a voltage-dividing switch. The first pixel electrode is configured to receive a data voltage. The second pixel electrode is configured to receive the data voltage. The voltage-dividing switch is configured to divide the data voltage on the second pixel electrode to one of the transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes.

Display device

A pixel structure is provided. The pixel structure includes a scan line and a data line, an active device, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The common electrode is disposed to overlap with the pixel electrode. The common electrode is coupled to the pixel electrode to form a first storage capacitor and a second storage capacitor. The first storage capacitor and the second storage capacitor commonly use the pixel electrode as an upper electrode.

Pixel structure

The present invention provides a display device including a first display panel and a lens layer. The first display panel is provided with a first display area and a first frame located at a side of the first display area. The first display area includes a plurality of first pixels, and some of the first pixels form a first image adjustment area adjacent to the first frame. When the first image adjustment area receives a same first image source signal provided to the first display panel, brightness generated by the first pixels in the first image adjustment area is greater than that of the other first pixels in the first display area. The lens layer covers the first image adjustment area and the first frame and includes a plurality of lenses arranged side by side and respectively extending in an extending direction of the first frame.

Seamless or frameless display device having lens layer

A pixel structure including an active device and a pixel electrode is provided. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device and includes a main trunk portion and branch portions. The main trunk portion includes a first extending part and a second extending part that cross each other. The plurality of branching portions is connected to the main trunk portion, and each branching portions is separated by the main trunk portion. The branching portions include a plurality of first branching part and a plurality of second branching part. The first extending part separates the first and second branching part. An included angle of at least part of the first branching part and the second extending part is &#x3b1;1, an included angle of at least part of the second branching part and the second extending part is &#x3b1;2, and &#x3b1;1 is not equal to &#x3b1;2.

Pixel strucuture and curved display

A lens structure and a 3D display device having the same are provided. The lens structure has unit regions. Each unit region includes upper and lower substrates, an anisotropic birefringence medium, center electrodes, edge electrodes and at least one set of side electrodes. The upper and the lower substrates are disposed oppositely to each other. The anisotropic birefringence medium is located between the upper and lower substrates. The center electrodes, the edge electrodes and the at least one set of side electrodes are located on the upper and lower substrates. The edge electrodes are disposed corresponding to the center electrodes. The at least one set of side electrodes are disposed between the center electrodes and the edge electrodes. An electric field distribution is formed between the center electrodes, the edge electrodes and the at least one set of side electrodes, so that the anisotropic birefringence medium constitutes a Fresnel lens.

Lens structure and 3D display device having the same

A pixel array, a pixel structure, and a driving method of a pixel structure are provided. The pixel structure includes a first scan line, a second scan line, a first common electrode line, a data line, a first active device, a second device, a first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode. The data line is intersected with the first scan line and the second scan line. The first active device is driven by the first scan line and connected to the data line. The second active device is driven by the second scan line and connected to the first common electrode line. The first pixel electrode is electrically connected to the data line through the first active device. The second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the data line through the first active device and electrically connected to the first common electrode line through the second active device.

Pixel array, pixel structure, and driving method of a pixel structure

A pixel array substrate and a display panel are provided. The pixel array substrate includes a substrate, scan line groups, data lines, and pixel structures. The scan line groups are disposed on the substrate. The data lines are intersected with the scan line groups. The pixel structures are connected to the scan line groups and the data lines. Each pixel structure includes an active device group, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a connection electrode. The first pixel electrode is located between the second pixel electrode and the nscan line group. The connection electrode is located at a side of the first pixel electrode adjacent to one data line. The second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device group through the connection electrode. The connection electrode, the first pixel electrode, and the second pixel electrode are of the same layer.

Pixel array substrate and display panel

An autostereoscopic display apparatus includes a substrate, a plurality of sub-pixels, a plurality of concave lens structures, a middle layer and a lenticular layer. The sub-pixels are disposed on the substrate, and each sub-pixel includes a light permeable area and at least one light masking area. The concave lens structures are disposed on the sub-pixels and on the optical paths of the light permeable areas. The middle layer is disposed on the concave lens structures, wherein the concave lens structures is used to expand the illumination distribution of the light from the light permeable areas of the sub-pixels, so as to form a plurality of virtual sub-pixel patterns. The projections of virtual sub-pixel patterns respectively projected to the sub-pixels cover the light masking areas of the sub-pixels. The focal point of the lenticular layer falls on the virtual sub-pixel patterns.

Autostereoscopic display apparatus

A 3D display panel includes a plurality of first and second viewing angle pixels arranged along a first direction for displaying first and second viewing angle images respectively. The first viewing angle pixels and the second viewing angle pixels are interlacedly arranged along a second direction. A method for controlling pixel brightness of the 3D display panel includes determining a brightness value of a first block of a first viewing angle pixel according to a brightness value of the first viewing angle pixel and a brightness value of a second viewing angle pixel next to the first viewing angle pixel along the second direction, and determining a brightness value of a second block of the first viewing angle pixel according to the brightness value of the first block of the first viewing angle pixel and the brightness value of the first viewing angle pixel.

3D display panel and pixel brightness control method thereof

A display system including a display apparatus for displaying a first image and a second image, two first lenses and two second lenses is provided. When a viewer sees the display apparatus via one first lenses and one second lenses, and the first image as well as the second image are parallax images, the first and second images are respectively saw by different eyes of the viewer. When the viewer sees the display apparatus through the two first lenses, and the first image as well as the second image are not parallax images, the first image irrelevant to the second image is saw by the viewer. When the viewer sees the display apparatus through the two second lenses, and the first image as well as the second image are not parallax images, the second image irrelevant to the first image is saw by the viewer.

Display system

A pixel structure includes a substrate, a scan line, a first data line, a second data line, a first active device, a second active device, a first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode. The substrate has a first unit area and a second unit area. The first pixel electrode is disposed in the first unit area and includes a first main portion and first branch portions extending from the first main portion to an edge of the first unit area. The second pixel electrode is disposed in the second unit area and includes a second main portion and second branch portions extending from the second main portion to an edge of the second unit area, wherein at least a part of the first branch portions and at least a part of the second branch portions are asymmetrically arranged at two sides of the second data line.

A video-audio playing system relating to 2-view application and a method thereof are provided. In the present invention, sound signals respectively corresponding to two independent image frames are captured and played in coordinating with the displaying of these two independent image frames. Accordingly, two users can respectively watch two image frames which are different and irrelevant each other in the same display, and further respectively hear sound effects of the respective image frames at the same time.

Video-audio playing system relating to 2-view application and method thereof

An active array substrate, a liquid crystal display panel and method for driving the same are provided. The active array substrate includes a plurality of first strip electrodes and second strip electrodes. The sum of one width of the first stripe electrode and one pitch between two adjacent first stripe electrodes is greater than that of one width of the second strip electrode and one pitch between two adjacent second strip electrodes.
