A hard disk device includes a main body and a temperature alarm circuit. The temperature alarm circuit includes a temperature detecting module detecting an internal temperature of the hard disk device, a control chip electrically coupled to the temperature detecting module to receive the internal temperature and configured to compare the internal temperature with a first preset temperature and a second preset temperature, a voltage pull-up module electrically coupled to the control chip, and an alarm module electrically coupled to the voltage pull-up module. The control chip outputs a control signal to the voltage pull-up module, the voltage pull-up module pulls up voltage of the control signal, and transmits the voltage pulled up control signal to the alarm module, and the alarm module alarms, in event that the internal temperature is higher than or equal to the first preset temperature or less than or equal to the second preset temperature.

A chassis includes a number of fixing apparatuses, which enables various motherboards with different mounting holes layouts to be selectively mounted in the chassis. Each of the fixing apparatuses includes a base member secured to the chassis, and a fastening member rotatably connected to the base. The fastening member defines a fastening hole extending through an end of the fastening member. Each of the fixing apparatuses is rotatable between a fastening position and an interference avoiding position. To mount one of the motherboards, some of the fastening members are rotated to the fastening-ready positions to align the fastening holes of the fastening members with the corresponding mounting holes of the motherboard, and other fastening members are rotated to the interference-avoiding position to avoid interfering with the motherboard.

A sequential voltage output circuit is connected between a power supply and a number of loads. The voltage sequence output circuit includes a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) and a number of switching circuits. When the CPLD receives a power on signal, the CPLD outputs a number of control signals sequentially through a number of outputs. When a switching circuit receives a control signal from the CPLD, the switching circuit allows the power supply to supply power to a corresponding load.

An exemplary server includes a housing, a printed circuit board disposed in the housing, a power supply received in the housing, a hard disk drive assembly fixed in the housing and a connection device connected to the hard disk drive. The connection device includes a connector connected to the hard disk drive, an adapter connected to the hard disk drive, a power transferring line connecting the adapter to the power supply, and a data transferring line connecting the connector to the printed circuit board. The adapter has output pins and input pins for transferring power from the power supply to the hard disk drive. Capacitors and resistors are connected between the input pins and the output pins.
