An optical module is disclosed. The optical module includes: a package substrate; an optical device disposed on the package substrate; a clear mold disposed on the package substrate and the optical device; an light blocking mold disposed on the package substrate, surrounding an optical device on the package substrate, and having an opening above the optical device; and a flexible buffer layer disposed on the light blocking mold. The light blocking mold and the flexible buffer layer are integrally formed of light blocking materials different from each other. An optical module including a plurality of optical devices is also disclosed.

Optical module

An optical sensor system is disclosed. The optical sensor system comprises a panel and a sensing unit. The panel comprises a plurality of transparent areas. The sensing unit locates at one side of the panel and the sensing unit senses a plurality of first light signals reflected by an object and senses a plurality second light signals of an ambient light. The reflected first light signals and the second light signals pass through one of the plurality of transparent areas of the panel. The sensing unit further comprises a light sensor and a plurality of gesture sensors. The light sensor locates at the center of the sensing unit, and the light sensor senses the second light signals. The plurality of gesture sensors surrounds the light sensor, and the gesture sensors senses the reflected first light signals and then produce gesture signals corresponding to motions of the object.

Optical sensor system

A photo-coupler device includes a P-type substrate, a P-type epitaxial layer, an insulation layer, a plurality of shielding layers, a metal layer and a passivation layer. The P-type epitaxial layer is deposited on the P-type substrate and includes two conducting regions and a plurality of N+ electrode regions between the two conducting regions. The insulation layer is deposited on the P-type epitaxial layer. The shielding layers comprising first shielding layers and second shielding layers are deposited in the insulation layer in parallel in a horizontal direction, and the first shielding layers are arranged for correspondingly covering the two conducting regions, the second shielding layers are arranged for correspondingly covering the at least one of the N+ electrode regions. The metal layer is made of Ag and is deposited on the insulation layer. The passivation layer is deposited on the metal layer.

Photo-coupler device

The present invention discloses a proximity sensing apparatus and a method thereof. The proximity sensing apparatus comprises a panel, a first light-emitting unit, a second light-emitting unit and a sensing unit. The panel comprises a plurality of transparent areas. The first light-emitting unit is located at one side of the panel and emits a plurality of first light signals through one of the transparent areas. The second light-emitting unit is located at the same side as the first light-emitting unit of the panel and emits a plurality of second light signals through one of the transparent areas. The sensing unit is located at the same side as the first light-emitting unit of the panel and senses the reflected first light signals or the reflected second light signals reflected by an object. Wherein, the sensing unit is closer to the first light-emitting unit than to the second light-emitting unit.

Proximity sensing apparatus and sensing method thereof

The present invention discloses a multi-cavity optical sensing and thermopile infrared sensing system, which comprises an optical sensing part, a dielectric layer, a plurality of optical cavities, and a plurality of thermocouples. The dielectric layer covers on the top of the optical sensing part. The optical cavities are formed by a plurality of metal reflectors inside the dielectric layer. The thermocouples are laterally disposed near the bottom of the dielectric layer. In addition, a low temperature region is formed in an area which is the overlapping of vertical projections of such thermocouples and the optical sensing part; a high temperature region is formed by the overlapping of vertical projections of such thermocouples, but without the overlaying which belongs to the vertical projection of the optical sensing part. Therefore, the system can sense the ambient light brightness, color conditions and human blackbody infrared signals within the range of 8-12 micrometers wavelength.

Multi-cavity optical sensing and thermopile infrared sensing system

A proximity sensor, a control method thereof and an electronic apparatus equipped with the proximity sensor are disclosed. The proximity sensor connected to a light-emitting module includes a light source, a light receiver and a control module. The light source emits lights at predetermined time intervals. The light receiver receives reflected lights of the emitted lights that are reflected from an object. The control module determines whether an average value of intensity values of the reflected lights is larger than a threshold value. If yes, the control module further determines whether a difference between a highest and a lowest intensity value of the reflected lights falls in a preset range. If yes, the control module would control the light-emitting module to change to a different light mode thereof. When a user reacts to the different light mode, the system will be able to tell whether a real user is present.

Proximity sensor, control method thereof, and electronic apparatus equipped with the same

A light emitting apparatus comprises a light emitting element and a switching converter comprising a conversion circuit for converting an operating electric signal to generate the driving electric signal, a feedback circuit having a light detecting element for detecting a luminous intensity of the light emitting element and generating a feedback signal, and a control circuit for receiving the feedback signal, comparing the received feedback signal with a reference electric signal, and controlling the conversion circuit based on comparison results to adjust the driving electric signal. Alternatively, the light detecting element detects ambient light and the control circuit controls the conversion circuit based on comparison results to stop or enable outputting of the driving electric signal.

Switching converter for lighting with light intensity as feedback and light emitting apparatus using the same

This invention discloses an illumination method and an illumination control method. An embodiment of the illumination system includes two light detection modules for detecting a light produced by a light emitting diode and an ambient light, calculating a reference spectral distribution based on a detection result of the ambient light, comparing the detection result of the light emitting diode with the reference spectral distribution, and driving the illumination module to emit a light matching with the reference spectral distribution based on a comparison result. Another embodiment of the illumination system includes a light detection module for periodically switching the light emitting diode to emit light and stop emitting light. When the light emitting diode stops an illumination period, the light detection module detects an ambient light, and when the light emitting diode continues an illumination period, the light detection module detects a light produced by the light emitting diode.

Illumination system and illumination control method for adaptively adjusting color temperature

A communications network switch includes a plurality of network ports for transmitting and receiving packets to and from network nodes via network links, each of the packets having a destination address and a source address, the switch being operative to communicate with at least one trunking network device via at least one trunk formed by a plurality of aggregated network links. The communications network switch provides a method and apparatus for balancing the loading of aggregated network links of the trunk, thereby increasing the data transmission rate through the trunk. The switch includes: a packet buffer for temporarily storing a packet received at a source port of the network ports, the packet having a source address value, and a destination address value indicating a destination node that is communicatively coupled with the switch via a data path including a trunk; a packet routing unit for determining a destination trunked port associated with the packet, the destination trunked port including a subset of the plurality of network ports, the destination trunked port being coupled to the destination node via the data path; and load balancing unit for selecting a destination port associated with the packet from the subset of network ports; whereby transmission loading of the aggregated network links of the trunk is balanced. In varying embodiments, the load balancing unit is operative to select destination ports from the subsets of network ports as a function of source port ID values, source addresses, and destination addresses.

Load balancing in link aggregation and trunking

An amplifier circuit is responsive to an input data signal which is substantially DC balanced. The amplifier circuit is operative to generate an amplified data signal, and includes: a limiting amplifier responsive to the input data signal and to an error correcting signal, the limiting amplifier being operative to generate the amplified data signal; a feed back circuit responsive to a signal proportional to the amplified data signal, the feed back circuit being operative to generate the error correcting signal. The feed back circuit includes: a low pass filter responsive to the signal proportional to the amplified data signal, and operative to generate a filtered signal; and an error amplifier responsive to the filtered signal, and operative to provide the error correcting signal to the limiting amplifier; whereby offset voltage caused by process characteristics of the limiting amplifier, and temperature variations in the limiting amplifier are canceled by the error correcting feedback signal. The limiting amplifier further includes: a first amplifying stage operative to provide a first stage amplified signal; a second amplifying stage responsive to the first stage amplified signal, and operative to provide a second stage amplified signal; and a third amplifying stage responsive to the second stage amplified signal, and operative to generate the amplified data signal. The low pass filter of the feedback circuit generates the filtered signal in response to the second stage amplified signal; and the error correcting signal is provided to the second amplifying stage of the limiting amplifier.

CMOS amplifier providing automatic offset cancellation

A packet switching fabric includes a data ring, a control ring, a plurality of network links each coupled to at least one network node, and a plurality of switching devices coupled together by the data ring and the control ring so that the network links can be selectively communicatively coupled. Each of the switching devices includes: a data ring sub-system for transmitting and receiving bursts of data via data ring channels concurrently active on the data ring; a network interface coupled to the data ring sub-system and having at least one network port for transmitting and receiving data packets to and from one of the network links, the network interface also having a packet buffer for storing the data packets, the packet buffer providing bursts of packet data to the data ring sub-system via a plurality of concurrently active packet buffer channels; and a control ring sub-system coupled to the data ring sub-system and to the network interface and being responsive to control messages received from an adjacent one of the devices via the control ring, and operative to develop and transmit the control messages to an adjacent one of the devices via the control ring, the control messages for reserving bandwidth resources used in setting up and controlling the data ring channels and the packet buffer channels, the control ring sub-system also being operative to perform queuing operations for controlling the transfer of the bursts of packet data from the packet buffer to the data ring sub-system.
