A liquid crystal lens including a first substrate, a first electrode layer, a liquid crystal layer and a second electrode layer is provided. The second electrode layer includes a plurality of first electrode patterns and a plurality of second electrode patterns. The second electrode patterns are opposite to the first electrode patterns, respectively, and the second electrode patterns and the first electrode patterns are alternately arranged. A square measure of first or second electrode patterns decreases from an edge of the liquid crystal lens to a center of the liquid crystal lens, so that a resistance of the first or second electrode patterns increases from the edge to the center of the liquid crystal lens.

The present invention discloses a display apparatus with display switching modes, the display apparatus includes a display device; an image mode switch device formed corresponding to the display device, wherein the image mode switch device includes: a liquid crystal layer; a first electrode set on a side of the liquid crystal layer; a second electrode set between the first electrode and the liquid crystal layer; a third electrode set on another side of the liquid crystal layer; and a voltage providing device electrically coupled to the image mode switch device to supply different voltage to the first electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode for switching displaying mode; the display apparatus may display the 2D, 3D and IP stereo image by using the electrodes with different pattern and voltage on the first electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode.

Display apparatus with display switching modes

A method and a system of evaluating a stereo image displaying panel are provided. The evaluation method includes the following steps. An inspection frame is displayed on the stereo image displaying panel, wherein the displaying surface of the stereo image displaying panel has a first normal vector. A luminance of the inspection frame is sensed by an image sensing apparatus, wherein the sensing surface of the image sensing apparatus has a second normal vector. An angle is formed between the first normal vector and the second normal vector. The luminance of the inspection frame is sensed in different angles. A maximum luminance of the inspection frame is sensed by the image sensing apparatus when the angle is equal to a first angle. A luminance uniformity of the inspection frame is analyzed at the first angle. An optimized viewable distance is measured, and the degree of cross-talk is calculated.

Method and system of evaluating a stereo image displaying panel

The present invention discloses a stereoscopic display device with a parallax barrier. The parallax barrier includes: a first substrate; a plurality of first electrodes parallel to each other and stretching in one direction on the first substrate; a transparent insulation layer between the first substrate and the first electrodes; a plurality of second electrodes parallel to each other and stretching in one direction on the opposite side against the first electrodes; a common electrode between the second substrate and the transparent insulation layer; and a liquid crystal layer between the common electrode and the second electrodes. In particular, the plurality of first electrodes and second electrodes interlace with each other and each contains partial overlapping in the vertical direction.

Stereoscopic display device

A color filter substrate having a substrate, a black matrix layer, a first filter layer and a second filter layer is provided. The black matrix layer is disposed on the substrate, and multiple pixel areas is defined on the substrate by the black matrix layer. Each pixel area includes a first sub-pixel area and a second sub-pixel area. The first and second filter layer are disposed in the pixel area, and the second filter layer covers the first filter layer. A refractive index of the second filter layer is greater than that of the first filter layer, such that light emitting direction of the first sub-pixel area is different from that of the second sub-pixel area. Besides, a fabricating method of the color filter substrate and an LCD panel with the color filter substrate are provided. The LCD panel with 3D image display or dual-view function can be easily manufactured.

Color filter substrate and fabricating method thereof and liquid crystal display panel

An examining device adapted to examining a transmittance of a display panel is provided. The examining device includes a light source, a first polarizer, a photodetector, a second polarizer, at least one first reflector and at least one second reflector. The light source and the photodetector are respectively disposed on both sides of the display panel. The second polarizer is disposed between the display panel and the photodetector. The first reflector is disposed between the display panel and the second polarizer. The second reflector is disposed between the display panel and the first polarizer. Light emitting from the light source successively passes via the first polarizer, the display panel, the first reflector, the display panel, the second reflector, the display panel, the second polarizer and then emits into the photodetector.

Examining device and examining method

A backlight module of a liquid crystal display is provided. The backlight module includes a back cover, an optical plate, at least one light source, a mold frame and at least one optical film. The optical plate is disposed on the back cover and the light source is disposed adjacent to the optical plate. The mold frame surrounding the back cover has a protruding structure. The protruding structure is located between a light outlet surface of the optical plate and a front frame of the mold frame to form a recess, so that the optical film can be disposed in the recess. The present invention also discloses a liquid crystal module including a backlight module and a liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel is disposed on a mold frame of the backlight module.

Backlight module

A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and module is provided. The LCD panel comprises a thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate, a color filter substrate, a liquid crystal layer, an upper polarizing plate and a lower polarizing plate. The color filter substrate is disposed over the TFT array substrate, and the liquid crystal layer is disposed between the TFT array substrate and the color filter substrate. In addition, the upper polarizing plate is disposed over the color filter substrate. Moreover, the lower polarizing plate is disposed over the TFT array substrate, and the lower polarizing plate includes, for example, a polarizer and a light scattering layer disposed over a surface of the polarizer.
