A receptacle connector assembly includes an outer housing and a terminal module. The terminals module includes an insulator having a base and a mating tongue extending from the base and equipped with a plurality of contacts. The contacts include front contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue and tail sections extending out of the base. The outer housing is of an insulative molding part or a metallic die cast, the terminal module is assembled in the outer housing, and thus a mating cavity is directly defined between the mating tongue and the outer housing.

Flippable electrical connector

A receptacle connector assembly includes an outer housing and a terminal module. The terminals module includes an insulator having a base and a mating tongue extending from the base and equipped with a plurality of contacts and a shielding plate. The contacts include front contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue and tail sections extending out of the base. The shielding plate is embedded within the mating tongue and includes a pair of rigid notches in two opposite lateral sides for locking to a pair of corresponding latches of a complementary plug connector. The outer housing is of an insulative molding part or a metallic die cast, the terminal module is assembled in the outer housing, and thus a mating cavity is directly defined between the mating tongue and the outer housing.

A receptacle connector includes a housing defining a base and a mating tongue forwardly extending therefrom, a first row of contacts disposed in the housing with contacting sections and surface mount type tail sections for mounting on a PCB, a second row of contacts disposed in the housing with contacting sections and through hole type tail sections for mounting in the PCB; a metallic shield including a capsular segment surrounding the mating tongue to define a mating cavity and a rear wall covering a rear face of the base to surrounding the surface mount type tail sections and a lower bracket attached to the metallic shielding. The lower bracket is located upon a bottom side of the shield and includes a bottom wall, two sidewalls and a rear wall commonly surrounding the through hole type tail sections.

A retention member () includes a seat (), a locking member () and a protecting member () assembled on the seat (), the locking member () has a body portion (), the protecting member () has a push portion () higher than the body portion () of the locking member (), when the push portion () is rotated, the push portion () drives the locking member () to be rotated and to be released.

Retention member for positioning optical module

A plug connector mateable with the receptacle connector, includes an insulative housing enclosed in a metallic shell, defining a receiving cavity to receive the mating tongue, and equipped with a plurality of contacts on opposite sides in the vertical direction. A latch forms a pair of locking heads extending into two opposite lateral sides of the receiving cavity to lock with a shielding plate embedded within a mating tongue of the complementary receptacle connector during mating.

A protection cap provided for a retention module of a photoelectric conversion connector assembly includes an upper wall, a plurality of supporting walls extending downwardly from the upper wall and at least one protruding portion extending downwardly from the upper wall. The protruding portion has a latch portion at a free end thereof for latching a retention plate of the retention module. The latch portion has a first inclined guiding face extending towards the free end so as to guide the retention plate to a printed circuit board.

A cable connector for connecting a cable having an inner conductor includes an insulating housing having an assembling portion and a mating portion protruding from one side of the assembling portion, the mating portion including a mating cavity, the assembling portion including a receiving room communicating with the mating cavity; a contact having a connecting portion received in the receiving room for connecting the inner conductor of the cable and a contacting portion extending into the mating cavity; and a shell having a back portion assembled upon the assembling portion of the insulating housing. Retention module for positioning conversion module

A holding device for an electrical connector, includes a frame with an opening defined on a center thereof. A first locking portion is disposed on the frame and extends into the opening. A second locking portion has a main body with an elastic arm. The main body defines a fixed end fixed to the frame and an active end rotating around the fixed end. The second locking portion has an open position that the active end can move freely and a closed position that the active end locks to the frame while the elastic arm extends into the opening.
