The application provides a method, method, comprising: a station (STA) sending a first quality of service (QoS) request message to an access point (AP) indicating a requested QoS for a traffic stream from the AP to the STA; the AP receiving the first QoS request message from the STA and sending a first traffic stream applied with the requested QoS to the STA when the requested QoS matches with an existing QoS policy for the STA in the AP or there is no existing QoS policy for the STA in the AP, and the STA receiving the first traffic stream applied with the requested QoS from AP.

Method and apparatus used in WLAN networks

Provided herein is a method and apparatus for transmit parameter indication in support of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) sensing. The disclosure provides an apparatus, comprising: a Radio Frequency (RF) interface; and processor circuitry coupled with the RF interface, wherein the processor circuitry is to: decode an Information Element (IE) received from a WLAN device via the RF interface, wherein the IE is to indicate a transmit parameter for a transmission of a Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) of the WLAN device; and perform WLAN sensing on the WLAN device based on the IE. Other embodiments may also be disclosed and claimed.

Method and apparatus for transmit parameter indication in support of WLAN sensing

The disclosure provides techniques for a configuration of frequency domain aggregated (FA) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) for trigger based (TB) PPDUs. An apparatus for an access point (AP) includes a radio frequency (RF) interface; and processing circuitry coupled with the RF interface. The processing circuitry is configured to: encode a trigger frame to be transmitted via the RF interface to stations (STAs) communicatively connected with the AP, wherein the trigger frame includes signaling to indicate a configuration of frequency domain aggregated (FA) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) for at least two STAs; and decode an FA PPDU aggregated by composite trigger based (TB) PPDUs from the at least two STAs.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of communicating a Single-User (SU) Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) transmission. For example, a first wireless communication station may be configured to transmit a Request to Send (RTS) to a second wireless communication station via a plurality of SU MIMO Transmit (Tx) sectors of the first wireless communication station, the RTS to establish a Transmit Opportunity (TXOP) to transmit an SU-MIMO transmission to the second wireless communication station, a control trailer of the RTS including an indication of an intent to transmit the SU-MIMO transmission to the second wireless communication station; and to transmit the SU-MIMO transmission to the second wireless communication station, upon receipt of a Clear to Send (CTS) from the second wireless communication station indicating that the second wireless communication station is ready to receive the SU-MIMO transmission.

A multi-link device (MLD) may establish a first communication link between a first device of the MLD and a first device of a second MLD, and a second communication link between a second device of the MLD and a second device of the second MLD. The MLD may generate a group-addressed message. The MLD may protect the group-addressed message using a first key or a first integrity key. The MLD may protect the group-addressed message using a second key or a second integrity key. The MLD may send, using the first communication link, the group-addressed message protected using the first key or the first integrity key, and may send, using the second communication link, the group-addressed message protected using the second key or the second integrity key.

Enhanced security for multi-link wireless operations

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to peer-to-peer (P2P) Wi-Fi sensing. A device may generate a request to perform P2P Wi-Fi sensing operations with a second non-AP STA; send the request to an AP to which the non-AP STA is associated; identify a response received from the AP, the response indicating that the non-AP STA is a sensing receiver for the P2P Wi-Fi sensing operations; identify a trigger frame received from the AP, the trigger frame associated with the P2P Wi-Fi sensing operations; identify a sensing physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) received from the second non-AP STA, the sensing PPDU associated with the P2P Wi-Fi sensing operations and including an indication that the second non-AP STA sent the sensing PPDU; and determine channel state information based on the sensing PPDU, the channel state information indicative of motion of people or objects.

Mechanisms to enable peer-to-peer (P2P) sensing

Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for report identification and power control for multi-device wireless sensing in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of an access point (AP) is disclosed, where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to encode for transmission to a station (STA) a frame comprising a configuration hold subfield, the hold subfield indicating whether the STA should maintain a transmit configuration unchanged during uplink (UL) sensing. The processing circuitry further configured to encode for transmission a trigger frame (TF) for sensing, the TF for sensing including an identification of the STA, an indication of a resource unit (RU) for the STA to use to transmit an uplink (UL) sensing packet, and TF type subfield, the a TF type subfield indicating the TF for sensing.

Trigger-based WLAN sensing with multiple sensing responders

This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to media access control (MAC) range extension. A device may cause to append a training field to each of one or more beacon frames. The device may cause to send the one or more beacon frames directionally using a sector sweep to one or more responder devices during a first interval. The device may determine an extended schedule element to be sent to the one or more responder devices, the extended schedule element including one or more directional antenna sectors to be used by the device during a second interval. The device may identify a first frame from a first responder device, during the second interval, wherein the first frame is received on a directional antenna sector of the one or more directional antenna sectors corresponding to an operating sector of the first responder device.

Media access control range extension

A wireless communication device for communicating across a wireless communication channel includes a memory storing instructions and one or more processors coupled to the memory to execute the instructions stored in the memory. The instructions are configured to determine a plurality of channel estimation measurements corresponding to a plurality of PPDUs received from an additional wireless communication device; determine a plurality of position measurements using information about the transmission of the plurality of PPDUs, wherein the position measurement is a position of the additional wireless communication device relative to the wireless communication device; select a subset of the plurality of channel estimation measurements based on the plurality of position measurements; and determine a change in a state of the wireless communication channel based on the selected subset of the plurality of channel estimation measurements.

Position information aided Wi-Fi sensing

An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) may encode a null data packet (NDP) announcement frame for transmission to include a high-efficiency (HE) subfield and a Ranging subfield in a Sounding Dialogue Token field. To identify the NDP announcement frame as an EHT NDP announcement frame (i.e., an EHT variant), the EHT STA may set both the HE subfield and the Ranging subfield in the Sounding Dialogue Token field to a value of one. When operating as an EHT access point (AP), the EHT STA may encode a trigger frame to include a Special User Info Field. The Special User Info Field may be identified by a predetermined value as an STA association identifier (AID) value. The use of the predetermined value as the AID value in the Special User Info Field indicates that the trigger frame is an EHT variant and indicates that the trigger frame is being sent by an EHT AP.

Null data packet (NDP) announcement frame and trigger frame for extremely high-throughput (EHT)

A Quality-of-Service (QoS) Management AP is configured to support QoS Management features and to perform a QoS Management Protocol. The AP decodes an Enhanced Add Traffic Stream (E-ADDTS) Request QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Req) received from a station (STA) to initiate QoS setup for a traffic stream. The STA may be a QoS Management STA configured to support the QoS Management features and perform the QoS Management protocol. The AP may encode, for transmission to the STA in response to the E-ADDTS Req, an E-ADDTS Response QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Resp) which includes a status code to indicate whether the QoS setup has been accepted. When the QoS setup is accepted, the E-ADDTS Resp includes a QoS setup ID within a QoS setup ID field in the E-ADDTS Resp that uniquely identifies the QoS setup for the traffic stream.

Extensible enhanced QoS framework for signaling requirements

An access point (AP) configured for wireless local area network (WLAN) sensing is configured to encode a trigger frame (TF) for transmission. The trigger frame allocates resource units (RUs) for receiving high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) physical-layer protocol data units (PPDUs) (HE TB PPDUs) from a plurality of client devices (non-AP STAs). The trigger frame may solicit each of the client devices to transmit an HE TB PPDU in accordance with an UL OFDMA technique or an UL MU-MIMO technique. The AP may decode the HE TB PPDUs received from the client devices and may estimate channel state information (CSI) for a radio link associated with each of the client devices based on an HE-LTF of an associated one of the HE-TB PPDUs received from one of the client devices. In accordance with these embodiments, the AP may process changes in the CSI of the radio links over time for a WLAN sensing application.

WLAN sensing using high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) PPDUs (HE TB PPDUs)

An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) is configured for transmission of a control response frame for rate selection. In response to a frame carried in an EHT PPDU soliciting a control response frame, the EHT STA may calculate a duration of a non-HT PPDU containing the control response frame sent at a primary rate, The EHT STA may also encode a high-efficient (HE) single-user (SU) PPDU (HE SU PPDU) for transmission to carry the solicited control response frame when a transmit time of the encoded HE SU PPDU is less than the calculated duration of the non-HT PPDU, or encode an EHT PPDU for transmission to carry the solicited control response frame when a transmit time of the encoded EHT PPDU is less than the calculated duration of the non-HT PPDU. A reduction in overhead may be achieved by using an HE SU PPDU or an EHT PPDU instead of a non-HT PPDU to carry a solicited control response frame.
